Excuse the potato pics on this one.
UpLift 900 desk frame

Work II

Changed out a monitor, added a better KVM switch, and added some lights. It helps reduce eye strain a bit (in theory) since it is in in the dark corner. Plus for about $20-25 they are pretty cool (Google -  "300 LED 5m 5050 eBay"). They are turned up to the brightest settings for the photos, you can dial them back quite a bit, same kit I have on my home version.

Complete with a cut 30mm A-10 shell pen holder  :thumb:

The actual desk frame and the uplift frame are the same color so its hard to differentiate. The desk the department had, the frame I brought in.

You can see the original leg of the desk. The uplift bolted on no problem and will be removed with no damage.

Adjustable width, so it can be adapted to most existing furniture.

-Purchased two 60X36 Maple Butcher Block tops from Grizzly Industrial.
-They have a Durakryl finish so there is no oiling or mess. They feel a lot like a basketball floor, just a thinner coating.

We picked them up in the Wife's GTI to avoid the $150 shipping price. They just barely fit.

I'm still dialing in the monitor positioning, I'm not a big fan of profile but the space is awesome.

Removed the two portrait monitors, the mismatch in resolution and color was driving me nuts. I picked up another 27" QNIX Evo II 1440p IPS Panel off ebay. It was a refurbished as opposed to the pixel perfect on the left. It has a small bruise but you can only see it on a black screen. At $229 shipped I'm cool with it.

Wife got me a matching cell phone stand for Valentines day.

For some reason my first impression on seeing that picture was that it was a large fish tank!

Nice clean setups :)

Lots of pretty pictures

Wow. That is an awesome pair of setups. I may have to get some of those LEDs too. I've got 5 30mm shells from my army days, I was planning on turning them into shot glasses...
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Thanks! If you look up "times squared" clock you'll find it. I bought it a couple years ago from The Discovery Store online after seeing it in a Chive post, its hard to find now.

Sorry no gif abuse, just my desk finally reunited with all my stuff (was in storage in NC, AL, FL, and a in-transit shipping container!).

Desktop rig was amazing and fast when I put it in storage two years ago, now it's meh . Usually has the side on, but I took it off for the pics.

Yes, it's got soooo much room. Weighs a ton, though, especially with water.

It's a Lian Li PC-V2100 (Maybe Plus, II, etc., I can't remember).

I used to have that exact desk! I love the monitor, which one is it?

Technology moves far too quickly. It feels like yesterday when I bought my 670. Now it's time to upgrade.

Yeah, I like the desk OK.  It's wife-approved, which is the important thing.   ;D

The monitor is the AOC ultra-wide; I think I got it on black friday or something.  I remember it being really cheap, and I actually like it a lot.  It's sooooo wiiiiide.

I won an Xtremesystems OC competition and did well in a few others with that rig back in the day.  It's clocked high; original core i7 920 I had at rock stable at 4.0G and could fold at 4.5G.  Now I think even laptop core i7's can outperform at half the speed and a tiny fraction of the power consumption and heat.  Haha.  Technology marches on!
I'm back.

I didn't even catch that when you first posted the pic, but I have the same monitor!   :D   I love it.   :thumb:

It's hard to get good pictures with the window right behind my desk and my crappy photography skills.

Thanks!  It's been great so far, I was a little worried that standing would be ****ty, but if I am playing a game I don't even notice.  It definitely pushes me to my laptop on the couch or living room floor for web browsing though.

PC360 is the model.  I've moved away from headphones as a hobby but these are amazing.  They work great for gaming and anytime I'm going to sit down and listen to music "critically", they do the job.

Love me some Steelcase desks. I had a gorgeous Sears take on the design and had to sell it before I moved. Wonderful desks, but stupid heavy and awkward to move.

Good get! Mind me asking what it set you back?

It was $75, you can regularly find them at a local flea market for around $150
