Clean and minimalistic. I like it. And, with new hotswap sockets :thumb:We have just posted them on our Instagram as well.
Will you post more pics before the GB starts? Would like to see how the silver ano looks.
Aaaw, the silver version is ANSI only. *sad ISO noices*
Guys but is it really that impossible to offer all the ISO options? You are Italian, I find it somewhat difficult to understand ... eddai
After the multiple requests we decided to make the new Sandblasted Brass Plate and the Silver Ash Edition available in ISO too. Unfortunately it's not easy for us to offer ISO because MOQ is pretty difficult to reach, but we are glad to offer this new colorway in our European layout! Silver Ash ISO will come with PizzaPCB, all the info coming on the web page
Too bad fedex is used to deliver to my country, they suck, DHL is way better, instanopeimagine skipping on an amazing keyboard because of the logo on the delivery truck lmao
sorry for not clarifying my reason. It is not because of the logo, it's because they additionally tax you very heavily upon arrival.Too bad fedex is used to deliver to my country, they suck, DHL is way better, instanopeimagine skipping on an amazing keyboard because of the logo on the delivery truck lmao
Are we still on track for GB fulfilment this month?Yes, we should start shipping the first orders with the Pizza PCB by the end of this month
I am happy to announce that the Pizza65 R2 batch is finally here!A month has passed but I haven't seen any signs of this shipping, no product or shipping notices... what's up, can you give updates?
Shipping will start by end of the week!
I think we understand that orders that included the SlicePCB have been delayed, but for those of us that ordered with a PizzaPCB, did they ship at the end of February? It doesn't seem like they did and we've been left in the dark since that update in early FebruaryMost orders with the PizzaPCB have been shipped, we are waiting for the last small batch from our manufacturer to finish.
can i getf first picture deskmat name?
thanks
As we already stated multiple times due to the actual STM controller lack we had significant delays with the production of the hotswaps PCBs. Unfortunately the big shortage started just when we were about to send in the production and we found ourselves in a difficult situation: we had ready prototypes and parts for a PCB that was actually impossible to manufacture in the quantities we needed.
We are trying to do everything to solve the situation as soon as possible. The electronic design has been completely changed using only in-stocks parts and we are about to start the production.
In the meantime we are shipping the R2 boards with solderable PizzaPCB and we are willing to be more clear and costant in future production updates.
Founding ourselves in this previously unseen situation made us underestimate many issues that led us to accumulate a big delay, and that’s our fault.
We tried till the end to bring the Slice65 as initially designed and when we finally found all the parts we discovered that one of the secondary suppliers that sold us the controllers scammed us with used parts, unsoldered from old boards and with oxydated or broken pins, that were unusable to make the boards, and we are still waiting for a refund for this parts the we payed 600% up from retail.
Sorry to everyone that bought a Pizza65 R2.
Hope that the attention to details and love that we put in this product will compensate the long wait for it when we will finally deliver it.
We have big plans for the future: as soon as we end shipping all the Pizza65 R2 GB we will bring a totally new project and every customer that supported us in this unlucky run will be compensated

I appreciate the update here. An update on the website or mailing the users with a statement would be great. I think most of the people who pre-ordered can understand the issues. I read between the lines that you admit that the communication could be better. It is hard to understand when there are social media posts, but no replays on questions or at least a general announcement (not only here). Also, isn't it a part of group buys? Delays ;)
As far as I know it is hard to get original parts, especially micro controllers. There are a lot of fakes out there, orders get canceled or as described you get crap parts. So, keep up the work! I hope it will went well and you don't make loses. I guess the time invested to get around the issues and find a solution is also priceless.
So... has anyone received and built their PizzaPCB board yet? I would assume so since the first batch was supposedly shipped four months ago, and the rest, apart from "the last small batch" almost two months ago. How is it, any photos?
I'm not that disappointed about the delays, just with the very vague communication.
We are aware that we did not post enough here on Geekhack about updates and we will start communicating more and on all our platforms.A month went by again, did the "last board" get manufactured yet? Were the PizzaPCB boards shipped? I was hoping the "communicating more on all platforms" would have meant something more than a single photo of a keyboard, like maybe an actual e-mail explaining the situation to the customers at some point?
Many orders with PizzaPCB have already been fulfilled [...] We are currently waiting for the last board to be manufactured and in the next days we will receive the final shipment.
the message right above yours is the update you're looking for. less moaning more reading. We are aware that we did not post enough here on Geekhack about updates and we will start communicating more and on all our platforms.A month went by again, did the "last board" get manufactured yet? Good looking packaging and keeb. Also, great photography :thumb:Thank you! I will be a fun weekend project :thumb:
Any updates on the Slice65 orders?Hi Jung, having solved our problems we were able to start the production of our PCBs.
hi guys, so tried to purchase a HS PCB... I mean the 70 euros for it is quite steep but what got to me - and bulked down - is the 30 euros shipping to the UK.... I mean it is a PCB it probably weighs less than 100gr with packaging. I work in a business where we ship from the UK to pretty much everywhere in the world, I think nothing we ship costs us more than 20-25£ to ship even when we are shipping to the weirdest and remotest places! Is that the correct price? Can you provide a more cost effective way to ship?buy a KBD67 hotswap pcb and be done with it
Failing that anyone in the UK interested in bulk buying a few PCBs to share the shipping cost. I want to rebuild my keyboard but no matter how much I like it it is not worth 100 euros for a PCB no matter how i see it
Can confirm, the KBD67 PCB fits perfectly. I´m using a KBD67 Lite R3 HS PCB at this moment 👍

They are OOS everywhere, that's what happened the first time i tried to buy it and when i got a reminder that it was back in stock i did the stupid mistake to buy a solderable.
Anyway i will ask for a reminder again and see how it goes.
Any updates on the Slice65 orders?Hi Jung, having solved our problems we were able to start the production of our PCBs.
We should receive them by the last week of October / first of November, from then the remaining shipments will leave.
We will try to package and ship all orders as soon as possible, we know we have made you wait a long time but we hope you are as confident in our work as you have always done until now.
Best Regards

You sold me a dud PCB and you've stalled me since first week of Dec 2022. I've emailed you 4 times and every time you said you're working on the a fix. You don't reply to Instagram or Facebook, and you're now ignoring emails.
Buyer beware.

Same for me. I ordered the black replacement top piece but received the silver one. No reply since mid of December, ignoring all of my emails since.

I received an email from Pizza Keyboards with the new firmware. You can download it in the same blog posts from Nov 2022: https://keyboards.pizza/blogs/news/how-to-use-via-with-the-slice65-hot-swap-pcb-while-waiting-for-qmk-to-merge-our-request
I wish they made a separate blog post and come clean about what has happened, but I'm glad it got fixed.

Jung, thanks for your reply. I did download the compiled binary file from that blog post. Unless I'm mistaken, I can't compile my own QMK binary until I get the slice65 version of this file:
https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/blob/master/keyboards/pizzakeyboards/pizza65/pizza65.h
Hi everyone! Yes the firmware has been fixed. I'm sorry that the release required some time, during the last days I've been reaching out to people that contacted us because of the media keys issues while waiting for the official announcement, because we were building a new dedicated space for Pizza Keyboards owners and keyboards enthusiast in general.
In fact today we are launching a new Discord Community with nice stuff like downloads section (including binaries, source files, models), direct technical support, discussions, off-topics, and many more. If you have Discord you can join through this link:https://discord.com/invite/vpbzFrZJ38 (https://discord.com/invite/vpbzFrZJ38)
In the next days I will update the firmware again so that it can be used with Vial, wich looks like a really cool VIA alternative with more features.
brew install qmk/qmk/qmk
qmk setup cskeeters/qmk_firmware_slice65
cd qmk_firmware_slice65
git checkout slice65
