HHKB pro JP canada
« on: Sat, 18 December 2010, 14:51:32 »
I have a brand new (tried once, not a single shiny key of course) Black HHKB pro in japanese layout (with the arrow keys).

This is probably going to be more interesting for canadians since you'll save a lot on duty and shipping costs, but I have no problem shipping anywhere else (I'm in Quebec).

I would like about 330$ + shipping, which is a lot less than what it cost me if you count the duty fees and shipping from japan to canada.

I will put it up on ebay if nobody seems interested...

I'm not interested.   It's your first post and you're Canadian.

But Welcome to Geekhack anyway!

I'm a lurker ;)

Well, its worth it if you want the HHKB layout but with arrows and more keys (you have to use a software solution to map them obviously).

You'll also have to get used to the L shaped enter...in canada a lot of keyboards are like that anyway.

I'd comment but doing so in a classified discussion is rude.

you can add anything if you want...I don't want someone to buy this and regret it later...if no one is interested I'll just put it on ebay like I said.

I've added a picture with the dipswitch settings in the first post.

The Spacebar is really really small.  Even compared to most JP keyboards.  The buyer  should look at the wear pattern on his/her current keyboard before buying.

This is not an issue for me...since I personally hit it right below the N, but good advice (I have a white one which I am keeping). It is the same size as the realforce spacebar (with japanese layout), if that even helps anyone out.
