Hi Everyone, grateful that you are spending your time on reading this thread right now.

I had an idea that is probably already exist in someone's mind but well, I decided to actually try to make it come true this time because I myself can't wait longer for someone to run this groupbuy.

So now, I'll be running this Interest Check to see whether the demand is there or not to be able to run this Groupbuy. As usual, 150 sets is the MOQ that we have to reach.

This will be the primary render from GMK.



Please let me know what do you guys think about it in the comments, what do you want from this group buy and such, if the demands is there, I am sure that we can make it happen together.

Now the estimated pricing of the set with current layout is 135usd per set excluding shippings. I am from Malaysia so the shipping will be calculated according to where you are, maximum cost for shipping is probably around 10 to 20 usd if i repack everything into smaller package without the tray. additional 15usd will be required if you want the tray.

150set - 135usd
250set - 130usd

IMO, perhaps can add some Novelties, such as Rainbow wheel etc. for Esc those to make this set more attractive. Anyway, this colour scheme looks very fresh !!

Interesting. However, this has extremely limited compatibility so I would appreciate compatibility similar to GMK 9009 R2 or GMK Taro.

tbh I would love to add compatibility but at the same time I was hoping the price to be slightly on the lower side. To achieve 9009 compatibility the pricing would probably ended up around 150usd per set, most likely due to the colour. So I took the example of how GMK rainbow was ran and kept the amount of keycaps similar. Would love to add on spacebar kit and also probably some extra keys as additional set so those that wants the base set can enjoy the lower pricing on this set. Ofc at the same time, I am willing to just expand the base set if that's what the majority wants.

Isn't there a stock GMK color that's a more darker blue? Feels like this is missing a solid ocean or navy blue color.

Cool set though I like the focus of keeping it cheap.

Yup, That is totally doable, basically base kit is the same, then probably another set with more compatibility. Only problem is that that set alone will have to hit it's own MOQ which I don't know for sure will we hit it, but yes, with enough interest, we can definitely do it, I am open to suggestion.

GMK Rainbow is one of my favourite set. This is awesome.

However i would suggest adding iso compatability.

I think most people would want the added compatability and spliting kits with gmk makes it much more expensive.

Only additional keys I'd like to see added would be 1800 support, so R1 PgDn, Delete, and End and R4 1u 0 on the numpad.

Not having full HHKB layout compatibility in 2018 is ... irresponsible.

Jokes aside, I'll almost definitely join if you add the missing R2 1.5u Backspace and R1 1u \|.

The inverted color accents (colored keys, black legends) others suggested also sound good, but I'm already sold on the colorway as it is (maybe offer the accents as an extra kit).
Having a color wheel as an accent could also be fun.

Finally, you might want to consider making the extra R4 Fn key purple (DY), as to my eyes it's obviously intended to be used to the right of the 1.75u Shift. In that position, the cyan key would break the purple stripe going from += down to Ctrl.
Either that, or replace the right 1u Win key with an extra Fn so both cyan and purple are available. Or have all three.

All in all, this kit looks really cool. Glad to see another fun, smaller scale GMK set in the works. You've definitely tickled my fancy — I'll be keeping an eye out for updates.

So on one hand I'd like to see a lot more compatibility, but I'm also realizing that no matter what some stuff just isn't going to line up well on some layouts due to the color patterning, such as anything that has the F row with no gaps. I don't think it would be unreasonable to focus mainly on the colorscheme here and ignore compatibility that just won't work out well with it. Some basic things like split backspace could do fine without upsetting the pattern, but much else is just going to be a mess to make look well on some layouts.

My vote is for adding split backspace support with an MG1 1.5u backspace key and MG1 1u \| key, and then leaving it as is to keep costs low. This will do just fine on most 60% along with TKL and fullsize.

i don't think ill be adding another colour to it as it looks very complete how it is now. I like the more vibrant colour combination as it is now.

I actually like it as well. Would like to see a bigger set though. Very common keyboards like a HHKB layout with split backspace or a 65% with an extra kolomn on the right aren't supported which is a big loss imho.

V4 looks great as a render, but I suspect it would be a bit dark on the final product. Maybe N5 would be best?
