Artisan HIEN and Optical Mice?

I'm looking to purchase the HIEN HARD but I'm worried that it might not work with my CM Storm Spawn which is an optical mouse.
If the HIEN is incompatible, which Artisan mouse pads are?

I have a HIEN in Red and it is compatible with:
any Zowie mouse, including the Mico and the MS remakes (I tried all of them, not CL versions)
Logitech G400s/G100s
steelseries rival, kana v2, kana v1
microsoft WMO, 1.1 (SE, but I think sensor is the same?) and 3.0
also Steelseries Sensei which isn't optical but I still tried it as well as the Xai

I don't own most of these mice anymore but I've had the HIEN for quite some time and it's pretty great with optical mice that I tried. the Spawn sensor should be fine for it though.

this guy has that combo and appears to be saying it works well in comments, even if it doesn't show in video.

only thing that was a bit iffy was if LOD was decreased on the Zowie mice, but iirc the spawn doesn't have very low LOD?

The Spawn does have a low LOD, but I can adjust that with the software.
