Hello,

I've been working on a keyboard, which I'm calling the hexon38: https://github.com/pepaslabs/hexon38

Right now this project just consists of a few laserable PDF's made in CorelDraw and a hand-wired prototype.

I've just started working on the QMK firmware.  I had an idea for having the home-row keys double as SHIFT, GUI, ALT, CTRL modifiers (via QMK functions like LCTL_T()), but unfortunately those functions seem to be very sensitive to roll-over between keypresses.  I'll have to dig further into QMK to see if I can implement something more robust.

It's a nice looking one! I assume you also have a cover for the controller.

With such an inward angle, can the shoulders relax well while you're typing?

Regarding dual-role keys, there were previous attempts but they didn't work 100%. One way is to let less frequently used keys take the second role. For example, it works well for me to put Ctrl and Esc on the same key.

(Big +1 on using a wood frame. Wood is good. )
