Marbled effect on keycaps: does it exist?
« on: Tue, 14 July 2020, 11:52:30 »
Hi everyone,

as per title, I wonder if anyone ever managed to pull off a marbled effect on a set of keycaps, so that you get the illusion that the keycaps were cut from a single marble piece.
I attached the equivalent for wood (see wood.jpg).

I searched around but couldn't find anything like that.

(marble.jpg picture for reference)

Thanks in advance!

after checking the stores mentioned in the "ALL KEYCAPS SITE LIST!" thread, I concluded that

- the closest existing set is this one --> http://www.pheilcia.com/products/keycaps/35/, and
- that this company --> http://www.pheilcia.com/products/keycaps/176/ is the most likely to get it done.

Did I miss anything?

Yeah. You missed that pheilcia caps all look like garbage in real life. It's OK if you need glasses but don't wear them when you look at your keyboard, otherwise save your money. If you're really desperate for that effect you cold get a set of keycaps hydrodipped in marble finish.
