I most certainly will join the GB even tho no ISO enter is really sad. Don‘t want to spark another discussion and I know there is no market for it right now, but imo the ISO enter would have sufficed since there are enough 1u R3 and R4 keys that one would be able to use as a substitute for other ISO keys. :/

Zambumon has been advertising this set pretty amazingly.
500 outside MD is actually being done pretty regularly nowadays. Bentō and Metropolis both hit over 1,000. I wouldn’t worry about that at all! :)

It doesn't help that Massdrop has been doing a rather lukewarm job advertising some of their sets recently. The '$120 for no numpad' thing is funny when some of these sets get absolutely demolished by sets with larger base kit sets (Metropolis, Bento) that advertise a cheaper initial price knowing that will do more to drive sales than making a game out of pricing tiers (which leads to people sitting out or otherwise breaking momentum for all but the most hyped sets)

I'm sure there's more to it than that, but at $100 this set is actually more affordable, while Eclipse felt like it cut coverage but wasn't any cheaper.
Bento is still a mystery to me because it included the novelties in the base kit and I got multiples of each kit, but I don't remember the interest check being so positive as to suggest a starting of $150 for so many keys would do well enough. I feel like Massdrop secures some great sets, but their price tiering falls flat for anything that isn't a 'blockbuster' like Nautilus or Laser

Shining depends on how much a keyset is used and who is using it. Some folks are able to make the ABS (and even PBT) shine in just a couple months, for some others it takes much longer. Obviously, the keys you end up using more while shine faster than other keys, I don't see it as an issue with doubleshot keycaps because the legends won't fade.
PBT will also end up shining BTW, it just that it will take longer than ABS.

I felt the same way about nautilus and jamon when I got them too. It's like Zambumon is working in a different colorspace than the end user.
Anyways, it's a nice blue and the legends look great. Thanks for the upload.

Exact same thing happened to Bento (and many sets before it I imagine). Cellphone cameras have a remarkably amount of post processing in hopes of achieving a 'vibrant' shot.

The render and real thing look the same to me from the 2nd one he posted. Same for Jamon. You will end up seeing cell phone photos with variations because of camera /lighting but if you see the set in real life they look as they should.

There's so many different factors that affect what the colors look like in real life. To name a few:
-White Balance: Is your light source warm or cooler?
-Lighting: How much direct light is applied onto your picture?
-Image Processing/Compression: How much does your camera, be it phone or an actual camera, capture of the colors of the photo and how are the files compressed as it's processed (typically when uploaded)?
-Screen Calibration: Your monitor plays a big role in how you see these images, too. Are your monitor settings more vibrant? Do you have Flux on? etc.
Ultimately, any set will look different depending on the lighting you put on it. Any great set will look bad under direct harsh lighting and make it not look like the renders. I think Zambumon's photos are likely what you'll see more in real life. It's not so black and white as "it doesn't look like the renders", because renders are also subject to good/poor lighting, too.

Got my GMK Striker artisans in the mail late last week. They look great. Seeing as these are my first artisan RAMA caps I have some questions for anyone else who may have picked them both up.
Is the profile different on them? The Mt. Fuji seems shorter to me than the Crimson? Also the Crimson cap isn't as indented as the renders would lead you to believe. It fills less like a "fill" and more like a "painted on."
I get that nothing is a sure thing with this type of production I just want a sanity check because I can't find anywhere that says they would be different profiles or that the Crimson cap wasn't that close to the render.
I've attached some pictures to try and help illustrate my points.

Thanks for pointing that out. The fit is pretty tight, I didn't want to push down too hard. Turns out the white cap wasn't seated all the way on the stem.

Hi there. Please note that you sent your support email on the weekend. We usually do not respond to support emails on the weekend. We have a 1 business day response time on emails. The 40's kit does have an issue (which was fixed in the extras that we sold). and we are currently working things out with Zambumon and GMK. Please be patient as we work on this.

I bought striker r1 one knowing I’d never use the alphas as I liked the blue that much. Given the theme I’m not sure it would be of interest but I’d buy r2 and Latin alphas if it ever came.
