Took the card out of my computer when I was trouble shooting Windoze 7 stability issues after initial install.  Worked great with XP have not tried on my Windoze 8 rig but Creative Labs does have drivers for Win 8 listed on their website.

Questions are as follows

Oh dood, those are so nice... I've been stuck with onboard sound this entire time, and have been looking for something. Looks like I can finally get myself a nice pair of headsets that I can actually legitimately utilize. I'm so glad I came back on this thread in months/over a year...
