Interesting. I don't have an iPod, but I assumed that they used Lucida Grande.

Ugly as it may be, Comic sans MS is highly readable and well-designed. I hated it years ago- way before it was 'cool' to hate on Comic MS. Helvetica (along with other gothic sans fonts) is not suited for small print.

Helvetica and Frutiger are only popular now because of the "retro" design craze (which made way for the movies). Visit any Urban Outfitters and you'll see what I mean (you might also vomit). It's a return to modernism, partially. It's also a reaction against postmodernism. I'm a fan of the movement, and I like seeing design slide back into the 60's.

Helvectica is much easier to read. Comic Sans sucks; I've been a hater for years. It was even worse before font-smoothing. These days, I'm in love with Calibri.

Calibri is awesome.

Helvetica...maybe it's because I haven't seen it on anything but OS 8 running on a Mac LC or Performa series, but that is one nasty typeface in my opinion. Arial, particularly Arial Narrow, is way better.

That's funny. Very geeky, but funny.

ripster, you two-timing hussy! I'm gonna tell Zoey.

What would the back of that shirt say?
  • I'm not looking at your breasts, I'm checking out your fonts.
  • I may be bold, but I'm not subscript.
  • I want to get all typeface with you.
  • Your point size in my font?
  • Let's kern.
Too bad it wasn't a wee bit chillier in the studio that day...

I saw 500 Days of Summer last night.  It was a pretty good flick.  A little depressing at times, but it was good overall.

That's a shame.  I really liked some the techniques used in the film like the scene where he goes to the party, and they use the split-screen with "Expectations" and "Reality."  That was pretty cool.  I'm not really a fan of films that jump around in the timeline, but they did it with pretty good effect and without making it too confusing.
