GROUP BUY HAS CONCLUDED, EXTRAS AVAILABLE ON NOVELKEYS, OHKEYCAPS, MYKEYBOARD, & KBDFANS

The Lovecraftian elders rise from the depths to bring joys and horrors.... (good news and bad news)

Everyone should have their tracking for Leviathan and for those of you that missed out... The first batch of extras are up on KBDfans with the Novelkeys, MyKeyboard, and OhKeycaps extras following as soon as they get their sets in the mail!

Now onto the good news! Wei got a Base kit into his photo booth and got some non-****ty factory lighting photos of the set!
These show off the BFR (Calm Depths blue) wayyyyyyy better and really highlights how the VAT green POPS off of that dark, deep grey-blue.

Awesome to hear all kits will make it!

Just an FYI to everyone, the Boardwalk PCB (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1473/3902/products/transparent_sa_leviathan_keyboard_boardwalk_persp_angled_1800x1800.png?v=1553579934) will be making a comeback soon. Shensmobile and I plan on running later this year. This GB is the perfect compliment to many of the layouts available on the Boardwalk.

Really looking forward to this one!

So only one of the 5 kits I got has met MOQ so far.... Base. Will the kits like Alts/GK64/Numpad be brought to MOQ by KBDfans? Or if it doesn't meet MOQ does that mean it is just not happening?
Also for the spacebar kits- I  got blue, but if that doesn't make MOQ, I'd switch to green if possible. Could there be an options for this if blue doesn't make MOQ?

Alts, Numpad, and Blue spacebars will likely make it on their own. They are all at under 15 til MOQ and the last few days typically bring in quite a few sales. If they don't we/KBDfans will buy them up to MOQ (same for GK64 kit). :) Not to worry!

I appreciate the kind words and concern! These numbers are actually really great for a Maxkey Group Buy :D I am honestly thrilled by the turn out and we have naturally hit MOQ on almost every single kit. The ones I expected to struggle struggled, of course, but I'll happily buy those up to MOQ and reassess my kit breakdown for the next one!

Hey Mankikami! I'd say there is a sub 1% chance that this will run through SP, unless I decide to run a DCS, DSS, or DSA version sometime in the future :) not keen on running the same profile with a different vendor. Don't want one SA version of my set competing with another!

Ugh. I hope there are extras... Apparently I ordered a base set, wanted to add a numpad, but not pay double shipping. I was refunded the base set, ordered a novelties and spacebar, but never ordered the base or numpad again. WOW. That was stupid.

Got our first photo of some of the double-shot caps from the Maxkey factory today! Crazy how fast things can move when you already have samples  :D
All non-new keys have been shot, they are testing all of the novelty/new legend molds this week and will give us a concrete timeline once the testing is complete.

The factory lighting is likely to blame here. I have a sample blank shot of the blue/blue-gray and can post some photos shortly next to a grey PBT set :)

Ugh, just joined geekhack, can’t believe I missed this GB. This would have been right up my alley with the colors and the theme, looks absolutely amazing. Am I right in assuming you probably won’t do another run for another year or more? I see that some retailers might have it, just worried that 3rd party route will make the set go from affordable to not so affordable.

It's for buyer's who prefer 40% keyboard layouts :) so it is 40% blank modifiers with alpha keys so they don't have to buy the full base kit

Hopefully when the extras get to the other vendors they'll be organized a bit different. Right now a bit annoying being forced to pay for novelties with the base + numpad when I'd rather do without them and require the alts.

I'm in the same boat. Might go for Ortho+Alphas and ergo blanks instead. I might get an Ortho board in the future.

Hey there! OhKeycaps is the only vendor who decided to buy Ergo + Alphas kits. There aren't a _ton_ so I'd keep an eye out or join his email list.

Similar to my last comment, OhKeycaps and Novelkeys are the only vendors who bought extra Ortho and Ortho + Alphas kits! Those should be in their hands fairly soon.

Wow, the set looks great on that board.

Got mine yesterday via DHL. Very pleased that the colors came out so close to the renders. The grayish blue is perfect.
