I figured there are some vinyl enthusiasts on here who probably have some interest in certain items from the RSD '17 list. Some people (like myself) who don't have access to a record store might want a little help in acquiring that would be prized item from your list.

there is a second store close to me that doesnt have the huge lines like the first one, but gets a smaller range of the releases, i intend to pop down there but its kinda hit and miss as to what they have

but i guess just buy all the space jams and most people will be happy

Not a vinyl guy, but I can get out and look for Brother Ali, him being local and all.  That may mean demand is higher though :/  Would you be interested in the vinyl if I keep the digital?

Also, hells yeah Space Jam!  I rocked the **** out of that cassette when it came out.

EDIT: The Sword - Low Country?  Aw damn that's a hell of an album...  Need to look into a vinyl setup lol

So what did you all get? I wasn't able to get much, I waited in line at one store, but they had nothing I wanted, but then I went to another store and they had everything I wanted but it was of course sold out by then.

record store day is only good for giant labels and marginally good high-cost advertising for smaller labels and stores. for bands it sucks especially when you put out your own stuff.

I made it out to my first RSD today.  Got there around 15 mins early, expecting a line and having low expectations for what would be left but hoping I could get one or two of the releases I wanted.  There were 60ish people in front of me but I ended up grabbing three of my top albums (this store had a 3 album, no doubles limit for first time through the line).  I ended up getting a few other albums too.  Here was the haul:



I also grabbed a RSD poster, 250 print run, 18x24, not bad for $10.  Down in the Valley is a local album store around the Twin Cities celebrating their 45th year in business this year.



I also ended up getting a grab bag door prize which I'm pumped about.  It had a bunch of 11x17 posters, coasters, stickers, RSD sampler CDs, buttons, tote bags, general swag stuff.  I'm big on posters so that was an awesome surprise for me.  Ohhhhhh yeah Gwen Stefani lol

Nice you got SpaceJam! That was on my list but the store had none. Apparently the Canadian stores get shafted a bit as I was talkign to the owner and he had only about 10-15 records from RSD in total.
