ok so i just wanna post a small rant
i wanna say from the outset, i dont want a flood of people defending my position after i say any of this, nor do i want a bunch of people picking me apart because of it, i just wanna say some things, and it be left at that
firstly, we are about 90%+ through this buy
so to start....
i get this has taken a long time, we all understand that that, but i want to clarify a few things of how and why we are here, and what has been going on
i made the original post of this gb, this gb is a ctrl alt gb, however that does not mean that we (ctrl alt) are all collectively responsible for every part of this gb
for instance, my role in the gb was to ship the uk/eu orders, run the thread, collect the funds and pay the invoice to sp
margos job was dealing with communication from sp
codys job was to build and maintain the site and orders
everyone above, has done their job, a very long time ago
everything that is outstanding, was somebody elses job
now, im sure some people, given the above situation, would say, well i did my job, i did what i agreed to, so whatever is left, is not my responsibility
we havent done that
at first, i tried to offer support to the person whos job it was to get this finished, i tried everything i could, asking nicely, giving motivation, setting up deadlines, promises made to me and timelines passed with nothing happening
eventually, i had to make the decision, in the interests of everyone involved to step in, and thankfully cody also offered to help
so i paid to have everything shipped to cody, this isnt gb money, this is my money, and there was a lot of stuff between various buys, and wasnt cheap at all, im also now paying for the majority of the shipping on all these orders, as i have yet to receive shipping money back form the person who was originally meant to be shipping these, he didnt have all the shipping money, but a large enough figure that this is all very costly
so now we are in a situation where both me and cody are investing either time or money between us or both, to get this buy and the others outstanding to people, doing a job, that wasnt ours
it also hasnt just been a case of getting things and shipping them, we received stuff a great deal of time apart, we have been missing several things, nothing major but a nuisance (which again im paying to sort out), as well as getting stuff in all sorts of weird orders, split bags, keys everywhere, all requiring sets to be remade up from scratch through piles of stuff across assorted gbs
this all takes time to ensure people are getting a complete kit, and not dragging this out further
now i understand, that to a point, we all represent ctrl alt, and are all in some way jointly responsible for this, but there is a line, if person x and person y decide to make something together, and person x cant complete until person y finishes his part, collectively, they are not completing their project but this is through no fault of person x, besides being involved with person y
i dont really know what im trying to say, other than im exhausted, im trying, im doing all i can, and so is everyone else now involved
we are currently shipping stuff, everything will go out to people as and when it can, literally 100's of orders have gone out between this, toxic, penumbra and calm depths in the last couple of weeks, and we have more to go, cody has a kid, and work to do, but he is dedicating at least 4 hours a day to this stuff, i get the wait is frustrating, but things are going out, its only a matter of time before it is your order too if you are still waiting, so the answer to the question, whoever you are, of when will my order ship?, the answer is soon, we are currently shipping orders, you are not the only person waiting, we are just working through orders
originally, we planned to work through a gb at a time, however each buy requires different things, different size boxes and packing materials etc, also each buy is in varying states of mess upon receipt, so rather than say, wasting 4 or 5 days sorting random keys for instance, we will choose to move on, keep getting orders out, basically do all the easy stuff first, and do the fiddly time consuming things at the end
