So far the ideas are:

- Haiku.

- Best non-traditional use of a cable or cap puller.

- In a non-traditional hole that's not the pooper and probably not any other bodily orifice.

draw something keyboard related in MS paint with a mouse? keycaps in the wild(outside) photo contest?

I'd like to keep it a little more related to key cap pullers or keyboards.  I like some of the ideas posted so far.

How about the best "pixel art" or mosaic made entirely of keycaps?

So far I'm liking this one the best.  I'm planning on starting the giveaway this upcoming Saturday.  No huge things tho give away, but a couple of nice small prizes.

Just wanted to say nubs makes good stuff! Got an awesome key puller and custom 'wood' key from him!!

Thanks, but why that mark around 'wood' key?  It was 100% wood aside from the stem I epoxied in place.  I'm still waiting to see some pics of that puller and cap in action.

Oh sorry it's a 'bad' habit!;) It's like people who 'talk' with their 'hands' it sort of 'just' happens!

Will get some pics 'soon', gotta get my 'phantom' 'first'!

Well, I anxiously look forward to seeing how it looks with your Phantom.   I just wish I had taken some proper pics of the maple puller before I sent it off.

And I have dropped the prices on the key cap pullers.  They're not cheap to make and they take a bit of time to do, so I'm not making much on them.

I 'might' can get a few shots with a 'real' camera.

Are you considered a vendor now?

I don't think so, mainly because it's not really something I'm doing all the time, just intermittently.  That and I think you have to be in the positive to be a vendor.  I'm pretty much breaking even after buying stuff to make the pullers and cables and for other experiments.

I'm fairly certain that that would be considered taking your profit and investing into different fields.

I haven't turned a profit on the pullers, I'm in the red on them.  Most of the money from the cables has gone back into more sleeving, cables, and different kinds of connectors.  I've only made ~$100 profit on the cables that hasn't gone back into cables and most of that has gone into other projects.  So I'm really only breaking even.

In any case, what does it matter?

nubbinator is this black and gray color? looks nice dude + its 6 feet right? I think this color would match my TrikX black board + the Dolch caps, you still making this cable?. I like the thickness of the sleeving, it screams quality, pm me back with answer thanks :)

I mean, I do the same thing with chainmaille. Any money I make on a necklace goes into buying more silver for more necklaces, but that's still a net gain. I took 40 bucks, bought silver, made a necklace, sold it for 200. Now that 200 is 200 worth of silver rings, but that's still a profit of a pound of silver. Whether or not it stays in the same form of currency doesn't have an effect on it being net gain.

Your selling cables has allowed you to buy more cable materials, so your net gain is cable materials.

And no, I don't think it does matter. The line between hobbyist and vendor is a blurry one, but that line isn't "profit" so it's a moot point. I think the line comes down to output. If you're making a couple keycap pullers and cables a week, there's no way you're a vendor. You're doing it as a hobby, and making a couple bucks.

If you're putting out 20 cables a week, well, we might have to define our terms a bit more.

It kind of looks like... I hope you only use it as keycap-puller.

I'll admit it has a little more girth than I was expecting.
