Southpaw75v2

A Collaboration between Bitmap Studios and HolySwitch - A Seamless, Southpaw, Gasket-Mounted 75%.

The Southpaw75 is back for its second version, boasting a fresh aluminum case, multiple layouts, and a sleek brass weight. (please note 0 key on numpad is incorrectly located on KLE and renders, it has since been moved to the right)

Colors

Navy may not be accurate - we have protos OTW for accurate colors.

Internal Features

The Southpaw75v2 offers a 3.5mm pcb-plate PORON foam to allow for the ultimate sound, with gaskets elevating it further.

Edit: 10/5/20

We plan on removing the brass weight and baking the paw engraving into the aluminum backing.

Two main reasons for this - 1. board will already be heavy due to it's size,
2. We really want this to be as cheap as possible - that is what the southpaw75v1 was all about, and we want to keep that trend for this board as well.

per the Discord, it's TBD $300-500, but with a budget FR4 version like rev1 as an option that'll be under $75.

No, the v1 PCB won’t be compatible, unfortunately.

No, the v1 PCB won’t be compatible, unfortunately.

That’s super disappointing. I can only hope that v2 is relatively cheap to justify buying it after already buying v1

The reason this is, is just for a better board.. It supports multiple layouts, has an added blocker, a daughter board, and different dimensions to fit.

The v2 is supposed to be different, having the same PCB limits us. However, the v1 is open source and people are already making 3d printable cases for it in the southpaw75 discord.
