Title: Does the Apple Extended Keyboard II have differently coloured LEDs?
Post by: spremino on Thu, 02 June 2016, 17:35:02
The only picture that I have found of an Apple Extended Keyboard II with its LEDs turned on, shows LEDs of different colours.  Please see the fourth picture here: http://ttic.uchicago.edu/~cotter/projects/aek2/ (http://ttic.uchicago.edu/~cotter/projects/aek2/).  Is it really so?

Neither of mine have that. In fact, I've never seen blue Alps lock lights before.

That looks to be a mod.

Definitely a mod.  Standard green led lights is the norm. That mod looks pretty cool though.

Besides cool, it seems useful as well (different colours for different functions).  I wonder why no keyboard manufacturer has thought yet about doing it as standard.

Green for bank lights, red for integrated ones. Although I have a yellow one as well. I have considered making a green-yellow-red bank of lock lights on a keyboard though xD .
