[IC] Moza - 65% O-Ring Board
« on: Mon, 03 January 2022, 10:01:46 »
Moza

Hello Geekhack, I'd like to introduce my recent 65% keyboard Project.

Moza is a 65% Gummy O-Ring Mount and I'd like to bring some new typing experience with this Gummy O-Ring Mount with its Meme Cut Plate that comes together with 3.5mm Poron Rubber dampening foam between the plate and PCB. And also we are going to have 1.5mm Poron dampening foam underneath the PCB. Hopefully this scenario will bring different and better typing experience.

Prototype
We are planning to having a prototype in this Jan or next Feb after CNY

Specs
  • 6063 Monoblock Aluminium Case
  • 7 degree typing angle
  • 5mm Brass Weight Insert
  • FR4 Plate with Skeleton/Meme Cut
  • 3.5mm Poron Rubber Foam between the Plate and PCB
  • 1.5mm Poron Rubber Foam underneath the PCB
  • Hotswap or Solder PCB with Daughterboard USB
  • Comes with Carrying Bag

Plate, Layout and Dimension

Will you be getting prototypes? Any chance for ISO layout support? Any more plate options other than FR4?

Price looks pretty alright. GLWIC!

Are you aware that in some Latin American countries, "moza" means mistress in a vulgar way?

Nice. I’m interested. A few questions:

1. Does the PCB support 1.5/1/1.5/7/1.5u bottom row? Looks like a yes but I want to confirm.
2. Are u considering half plates?
3. What is the expected weight of the board?

Thanks!

trying to understand the color options. is the top case a different color from the bottom case? can you mix and match? for example the navy top case is rendered with a grey/black bottom case, but then there’s another render of a navy bottom case. thank you and glwic!  :thumb:

What happen with Sofia is not a thing that I want, and I don't want anything like that happen again. I hope our main vendor can run this one in the meantime.

Hello, thank you for your reply
1. Yes it is supported, I will update the PCB Layout later!
2. I'm not thinking a half plate right now. But we will help to make the half plate and share it once the GB is finished.
3. The total weight is expected almost 1.5kg Unbuilt

Hello, Obviously this is a monoblock case (single piece case) so there is no top or bottom housing. the render is showing the top and bottom view and I make different color for some color identity.

got it! that makes sense. I am new to the hobby and unfamiliar with “monoblock” - thanks for clarifying!
