I could most likely get a room for free in Indianapolis if there was interest there from iupui.  It's close enough to Chicago that is shouldn't take away from the people wanting to go.  The downside is Indianapolis is (kind of) boring.

I live in Indianapolis and I don't recommend having a Keycon here.  Somebody seems throw out Indianapolis every time there is a Keycon discussion.  I mean, I could make the arrangements and I know all the hip spots, but come on, it's Indianapolis, the appeal is lacking in order to attract a decent crowd.

Also, have Texas and the West Coast been eliminated from the running because lack of interest from potential hosts?  Texas is great for affordable flights, the west coast is the west coast.

Nashville and Asheville are both great places, my concern is those places are going to be more expensive to fly into, reducing potential turnout.

Out of everything listed, my votes goes to Florida, because flights and theme parks.  And water parks, I love water parks, maybe I could mix this in with my Florida water park extravaganza trip.

So far Nashville has Booper and Taylor Swift, but more votes are going to Chicago?  Pfft.

RetroChick and LSB arent too far away (7  hour drive IIRC) and Katz is in Louisiana or Mississippi.

There are a handful of people here in Nashville, im sure we would all be down to help.

Oh, and MechanicalKeyboards.com is right outside of Nashville in Fairview (like a 30 minute drive)

What do you all think of Knoxville? Theres a decent amount of stuff to do, and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg is right down the road

Finally  :P

Edit: Wait, why only three?  Shouldn't this effectively just be a tally of everyone that can attend each given location?  If I am able to attend all of them, why wouldn't we want to know this?

pretty sure you are referring to Pita Inn.

although I might have to bow that best find to CBA for chinatown.  We'll have to make it there earlier next time.

We still have a ton of really good well-known places around town and on the northside we can hit.  The joy of working up here I tend to try all of the food places here.

If we hold it in Chicago, Glorious Leader can lead us in the most efficient and tastiest GB R2 that Geekhack has ever seen. Anyone else dreaming about that Giordano's from last year? :))

That Mediterranean version of Pancheros was AMAZING!!  Sorry, I don't remember the name of the place.

If you're talking about the place we went when we were downtown it's called Roti.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

It was downtown, after we all sat down, my wife looked at CBA's plate and immediately had buyers remorse.
