Irlen’s Final Eyes
Of the factory gnomes, Irlen was known as the best
His job was the eyes and he always impressed
Lonely he worked, just during the night
A mysterious character who always hated the light
After years of work, It was finally time for this gnome to retire!
“One more project!!” Clack said, “It will be worthwhile!”
Never one to say no, Irlen agreed with smile
He worked all night and was nearly done with the task
When his hand started shaking and there was a loud crash
“Where did it go?!!!” He screamed and dug through the trash!
Covered in food, he couldn’t believe his eyes…
“I have ruined my last work!!” he began to cry.
Just as he wept, the day had come back…
“Morning is here!”, then he cried out for Clack
“What is wrong my old friend?” Clack said with concern
He explained what happened as his teary eyes did burn
Clack stared at the keycap with its eyes of bright green
Then all of a sudden something quite strange was seen
In the room’s light, the eyes turned red it would seem
Confused what happened, he looked all around!
He searched on the tables and over the ground!
With a look of surprise, he finally saw what was up!
It turned out the effect was created with a spot of ketchup!
He facetimed the gnome and gleefully yelled, “Irlen you rocked it”
“In your honor my friend, I shall name this Scoptic”
