hi all, i'm new to this forum and i'm still deciding for my first (not exactly....i already had mechanical keyboards a long ago...) keyboard.

however, googling around i've found this interesting program that let you use ctrl key as an apple key.

so you can use for example an ibm model m under osx with no problems.

see you all, i will review my new keyboard when i've decided based on your reviews.

It's possible to do this without installing kernel extensions. Just go to the Keyboard section of your System preferences:

I'm using ControllerMate for all advanced remapping stuff: http://www.orderedbytes.com/controllermate/

I remap those keys under OS X without any third party tool.  (I remap ctrl to command and caps lock to ctrl)

It is too bad that you can't remap Caps lock to backspace with the built in functionality though.

Also using ControllerMate to make proper use of the extra buttons on my mouse and to to next/prev track and play/pause with some dedicated keys on my keyboard.

But indeed, for just swapping Ctrl/Win you don't need any additional software.
