Keyboard of the Month - November - Vote
« on: Wed, 14 December 2016, 08:36:59 »
Not a lot of interest this month unfortunately, and due to that I have had to decide on one of the nominees myself.

So first of all we have Kurplop's finally finished Planet 6

Lengthy build thread can be found here

Second is getf's Industrial Grey G80 1867 EN/KR

Another pic here

And finally is mrboovn's Cherry MX 5000

Another pic here

The poll as always will last seven days! Good luck to all the nominees!
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

It's not that there isn't enough interest, it's that there is nothing worth bring up vs the Planet 6.

Well i'm just looking at the numbers, but this month's nomination thread has a third of the views that last months had. Yeah it's been up for longer but I think it's still telling.

Maybe the time of year? People going away or spending more time with rellies instead of voting for keyboards.

Voted, anyway, although I don't think my favourite one will win this time.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

That's cheating :))

More nominations = more bumps = more views by people who wouldn't have looked otherwise?
