flight delays

ha... This is why tp4 never outside,  no outside, no luggage. This is your own fault people of the outside.

Joking aside, they say, not cybor at(k,  but tbh, it'd probably be worse to admit it's a cybork,  because it's admitting oh, the cold war has serious consequences, ones that can not be deflected/repelled.  and you can't simply defeat 150 million rv551ns, and no one has actually thought through a god damn plan.

sigh.. meanwhile, all hands on deck dealing with what's essentially Stoop1d fallout, Climate Catastrophe isn't even on the docket.

Typical back-and-forth between capital and government.

The scenario should be one where government regulates "common carriers" and keeping the system running smoothly is their responsibility - or else they lose their rights to have a monopoly.

We went through this well over a hundred years ago and created a framework that worked well for many decades :

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_Commerce_Act_of_1887

Another problem solved long ago that internet providers weaseled their way out of :

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communications_Act_of_1934

"It turns out that for a decade, whenever Trump wanted to get a loan, or make a deal, he would inflate the value of his real estate. For instance, suggesting that his 11,000-square foot penthouse was a 30,000-square foot penthouse.
And the attorney general of New York knew that Trump's property values were inflated because when it came time to pay taxes, Trump undervalued the very same properties.
It was all part of a very sophisticated real estate practice known as “lying.”

the regulation is well and good, but corporations, like any other large entity eventually become mini nations of their own, so it's not entirely straight forward to say these are the rules, rules are not laws of physics.   so if the corporation produces a fulfillment of the desires of the masses, positive or otherwise, it will always have an efficiency veto over moral / conflicting obligations.

there's no perfect model for pulling them in, if it's NOT about profits, then we usually just resolve conflict in the negative feedback loop, where thing like Famine/ Death happens.

it's unfortunately a really dumb way to be solving problems.

the only real alternative is a Central Monarch, but it requires an IMMENSE amount of luck that this group is incredibly disciplined and "for real" conservative, not the fake gop soundbytes.
