Update:
Wired PCB order & Case Only Order packages had gave to Post company.
I will send track code tomorrow through email for everyone.

Hi geekhackers, this is a group buy we've prepared for a quite long time but has been delayed a lot because of the infamous AL1 GB we run for Alsoran. We hope we can prove our abilities in this group buy that directly run by Triangle Lab. The manufacturer and suppliers, different from Alsoran's sources, are very reliable. Most importantly, we will do the QC by ourselves to make sure everything goes well.

Three of our creations are included in this GB:

  • TR60 - 60% keyboard case with integrated plate
  • MickeyBoard 1.0 Plus - 60% Bluetooth only PCB
  • TR60w 1.0 - 60% hot swappable wired(USB) PCB

Each one can be bought individually.

1. TR60 keyboard case with integrated plate

  • Integrated plate
  • 6061 aluminum top and bottom cases
  • Acrylic, aluminum, or brass back plate. The Bluetooth PCB can only work with acrylic back plate.

  • Two types of top case: standard or HHKB style
  • Compatible with most 60% PCBs
  • Price: $120
  • Layout:

  • Colors:

More

Black

Titanium grey

Iron grey

Midnight blue

Red

Check color samples above

2. 60% Bluetooth only PCB

  • Bluetooth 4.0 provided by Nordic nRF51822
  • Battery life: more than 6 months
  • Powered by 3 AAA alkaline batteries
  • Fully programmable with an online configurator
  • Price: $40
  • Layout:

Optional Bluetooth dongle: The dongle can be used with MickeyBoard PCB only. Your PC will recognize the dongle as a wired keyboard instead of a Bluetooth keyboard if you use this dongle. The price is $15.

3. 60% hot swappable wired(USB) PCB

  • Kailh hot swappable sockets
  • QMK support
  • Price: $40
  • Layout:

Timeline

GB ends on July 10th

Lead time: 75 days

The shipping cost will be invoiced separately before shipping.

Find detailed options and place your order here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ITN0pfnzeQURmQk2G9QEU5oqXRdaGWL_oXVESEKxPrA

Edit:

1. The case is 800g(1.76lbs) with default acrylic back plate.

2. height of front and rear

3. Thickness of plate

4. The layout figure is updated

This looks pretty neat! How much does the case weigh and what's the typing angle? And any chance we could have different colors for the top and bottom?

The case is 800g(1.76lbs) with default acrylic back plate. The angle is around 6 degree.

We're not providing the option for having different colors for top and bottom this time. Alsoran was providing 13 colors for top and bottom in the AL1 GB I ran. After seeing his failure on management, I'm very cautious about the options in the GB I run for myself.  We're providing very basic colors with less flexibility to make sure this GB goes smoothly.

Thank you Petch. I won't be able to run this GB without all your AL1 buyers' patience and support. There are still several AL1 orders not fully fulfilled or need after-sale services. I'm keeping my eyes on these orders in the meanwhile.

The shipping fee will be calculated according to the weight of package before shipping. The choice of delivery service matters a lot as well. For just two PCBs, I would estimate the shipping fee lower than $30 with DHL.

That case actually is black. The lighting makes the color is little confusing.

Thanks for reminding me. Actually, the standard version does support WKL layout(without 1u blockers). WKL (2u backspace, with 1u windows keys) and HHKB layout (1.5u backspace) are two of my favorite 60% layouts. The layout figure is updated.

Also, in the diagram it looks like that hotswap wired pcb might have smd rgb leds, but I could be looking at diodes. I think you would have mentioNed if it were rgb, but wanted to ask just in case.

Feel free to PM me if you want to order more than one back plate.

The wired PCB support SINGLE color 3528 LEDs. The PCB will come with a set of these LEDs. I forgot to add the option for the color of LEDs. Will send emails later to those who order the wired PCB.

3. No, the plate doesn't support switch top removal. The wired PCB is hot-swappable tho.
4. Sure you can use other Bluetooth dongles or the built-in Bluetooth modules in your laptop. The dongle we provide works like the Logitech Unifying receiver.

Good question. Hotswappable means single layout. Bluetooth, especially long battery life Bluetooth, is a relatively new feature to keyboard PCBs. We added tons of layout options on the Bluetooth PCB to meet everyone's needs. As for the wired version, I decided to use the WKL layout becuase I like this layout a lot and there's no hot-swappable 60% WKL PCBs available on the market afaik.

You'll need to solder the 3528 SMD LEDs by yourself.

Yes, we had a lot of prototype PCBs for different layouts and they are all USB Type C!

There are AAA batteries behind the PCB.  Other 60% cases may be compatible if there's enough room for the batteries or you can modify the case like this.

Some questions:

  • Would it be possible to get an extra acrylic back plate, even if we order the brass?
  • What other cases, if any, will the PCB support?
  • Any typing test for sound?

It's too bad that the Fusion60 group buy hasn't started yet. I don't have the budget for both boards, and I would want to see the final price on the Fusion.
