We might release the FR4 and PC/POM plate files, but probably won't release the aluminium plate file.

Beautiful board. Offering extra top cases is a neat idea for those that might want to try different layouts.

I'm a little confused by the extra weights and color combo system. Why wouldn't you just offer the three PVD colors as an option for the standard kit? Having to buy an extra $180 weight just to get specific color combo seems crazy to me. What am I supposed to do with an extra $180 weight?

Yes - if there are future runs of the PLX we will add new colours. The top cases would be compatible with R1, so if you have purchased a PLX you will be able to just buy a new top case later on.

Approx. shipping is Q4 2022, although the date will vary slightly depending on how many units are sold. We will update customers once the order has been placed with the manufacturer.

The colour combinations on offer are what we thought paired nicely together. The extra weight are on offer for buyers who want to mix up the aesthetic without the expense of buying an entire board, much like the extra top cases.
