Google Japan's Japanese IME team today announced the release of the perfect keyboard for Japanese text input. With this keyboard you will have no more trouble of the IME guessing the wrong kanji for you, since you can just enter every kanji yourself manually.

The keyboard contains all of the commonly used Japanese Kanjis as well as full sets of Hiragana and Katakana and a special section dedicated to Emoticons for easy bbs and chat use.

In the article they also mention that if you ever need to type another language than Japanese, it is recommended to just write it in Japanese and use Google translate.

At least Google Japan's Aprils Fools Joke was pretty funny. I laughed.

I particularly like the massive enter key.

The concept drawings are nice as well.
