What is the deal with the KMAC 2? Based on the half the pictures that have loaded, its just a black case, red plate, and those gold colored blocker things. Doesn't seem super exciting to me. Although the pcb looks to be 1.5/1/1.5/7/1.5/1/1.5 on the bottom row, which I like. Curious If I could use that pcb in my KMAC case.

So much hate on the kmac 2, it is also hard annodized so the case won't have wear and tear problems hopefully.

It's just my personal opinion. Some people might like the new design. I personally don't like the adjustable blocks for changing the modifiers. Looks odd.

I like the 1.5,1,1.5 setup alot, I can't stand these moogle kits, and the original kmac didn't offer that option unless I bought both keyboards and swapped the cases.

That's true. I would only use the 1.5, 1, 1.5 setup to avoid having to use the blocks. Design-wise, the case looks more solid than the original. It was only those blocks that turned me off.

Maybe you can have it welded and reanodize it?

Agreed, odd is an understatement mmb. 86 or 87 key will be the most visually appealing. 84 would look "odd".

Then it would be the KMAC 1 :P

Why do adjustable blocks turn you off, though? Because it isn't as much of a streamlined look? The color? Are they only offered in gold? What material?

I'd imagine you could personalize/customize the blocks (as you would keycaps) in order to make it nice. Perhaps name engraving or some other kind of finish on each one?

I am more of a minimalist. The blocks seem to break up the streamlined look of the original KMAC. It doesn't sit flush, at least from all of the photos I have seen.
And that brings out the OCD in me.

I am all too understanding of OCD. Was just wondering. :D

I bet that thing as it sits will look good with lee's orange dolch set.

I might want to have mine reannodized to a different color, but it doesnt matter if i use 1.5,1,1.5 setup. It could look good if they were blue or red on a retro or RA set with matching a matching CC.

Did the Kmac 1 have these wear and tear issues?

Also, what separates the Kmac Le from the Kmac 1? Is it just the two colors on the Le?
