Help, or not....Photo added
« on: Wed, 22 February 2017, 19:12:14 »
I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but....

If I have a lifted pad (the Enter key in this case,) am I totally screwed?  I am assuming that it can't be jumped like an LED, and that particular key isn't exactly a good candidate for re-mapping somewhere else.  This is on a Pok3r.

Replying to a topic called "Help!!!" makes me feel like a scrub, but i'll tell you what you need to know anyway. Follow the trace alllll the way to where it goes. Solder a wire between there and where you would have soldered to if the pad hadn't lifted and bob's your uncle

You'll get more help if you post photos but more than likely it's repairable.

An excellent point, so here we go....like I said previously, the Enter key:

Why can't you run a jumper from the ansi enter pad to iso enter pad?

There you go, didn't even think of that, so thank you.

Is there a recommended minimum gauge for the jumper wire?  Never actually had to do this before, so please excuse the dumb question.

Just make sure you use stranded and not solid.  Solid will pull **** off if stressed
