I went to the meet-up in Somerville, MA tonight. I like the keyboard, for the most part. I think the contours of the existing keycaps are a bit too much, but Jesse did say at the meet-up that they're still working on finalizing the keycaps. I really love the palm keys and their usage as momentary layer switch (I wonder if I could mod my ErgoDox to have these keys).
One thing I did suggest to Jesse was to put a set (three) of tripod-compat threaded holes on the bottom on each half. This way, those holes could be used with the mating plate with captured screws to form a single unit. The keyboard could include a flat plate and tented plate, like it does right now. Additionally, it would be nice if they could also include a couple "stands" that would screw into those threaded holes for "split and tented". And those same threaded holes would allow small tripods to be used for more adjustability, much like the Matias Ergo Pro.
I have some small qualms with the logical layout/placement of some of the keys, but all that can be changed with the firmware, so I'm not super concerned about it. I think getting the physical layout correct is more important, and Jesse is very close, in my opinion.
