Title: Questions about how to mount the keyboard.
Post by: shs0913 on Fri, 21 May 2021, 21:47:49
Which mounting method do you prefer?

1. traymount
2. top mount
3. bottom mount
4. sandwich mount
5. plateless mount
6. integrated plate
7. gasket mount

My preference is number 3 and 4.

Because it gives a stable and solid feeling.
But, Sometimes I want a dynamic feeling.
Which mounting method would be dynamic feeling?

Gasket mount is not a mount in itself, it's how the plate/pcb is attached to it's mount.
It's the same as asking do you prefer Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevy or Hybrid.

I think for the price, it really depends on the design, the material used and machining complexity, numbers of pieces for assembly is also a crucial factor
Dynamic feeling depends on dampening and flex, personally prefer dynamic typing.
