Tengu Keyboard - "TGR Alice" Layout - What's your take ?

Hi GH pal ,

I recently discover this Tengu keyboard by Find.works design and being fulfilled by Project Keyboard in the US .




I'm very close to pulling the trigger . But would love to hear everyone input....

Is it worth it comparing to other Alice Layout like Fallacy and Maja coming out soon ? Any better option in your opinion ?

This is definitely the most interesting option at the moment, unless you want to wait for a polycarb, uhmw, or layered acrylic Alice, which are all right around the corner from each other. The Fallacy is beautiful, but the Tengu is isolation mount and just a little different stylistically. I like the Maja and Physix, and you should definitely go for those if you can stand the asymmetry and like the different layout.

I ordered one in grey. I hope it’s a more interesting grey that the tgr grey alice. I love the shape of the tengu personally!

I might go for grey also . I'm still kinda new to this hobbies so I dont know if Find.works is a reliable designer (based in Australia)

Guys , beside the aesthetic , what's the upside of Poly cases ?

Some say that polycarbonate cases enhance the sound quality of the switches mounted in it. Even if that's not the case (pun intended  ) then it most certainly has a different sound signature.

I'm surprised Alice clones are so popular when the thumb keys are all asymmetrical like that. It would bother me at least.

I've seen like 2 on their discord.   But where are the rest?

I like the Alice layout, but I think most of the clones look so similar to the original and to each other that there isn't even a difference. Nobody's really come up with a different design for this layout either, but maybe that's just because people already like the layout and don't want it changed.

Hope we can have a r2 for this, had a meet up yesterday and saw one tengu and it’s was amazing!
