Modding datahand hd200

Hey. I recently got a dh200 due to severe RSI, but the controller was broken. So it will have a controller replacement. I've already found someone whom can replace the controller, but they're unable to add custom firmware methinks. Is there any firmware around that will work for this task?

I wrote wrong. They are unable to program custom firmware. thus i'm looking for some premade firmware.

Search for "dhteensy" or "gator456 datahand" to get started. You may have to reverse engineer the circuitry as it is very possibly different than the later models. Use a teensy++ to replace controller.

Try cleaning the infrared diode and phototransistor lenses just in case it would help.
