I know we had one of these before, but I don't see it anymore. And I miss checking out people's desktops/themes for inspiration  ;D

Here's mine.

Approved!

On my laptop, static image, usually I have browser or text-editor open in full-screen, so I'm not really concerned about it:

On my desktop, it randomly rotates between some 1600 images. Other than that, it's just standard non-aero layout, without anything fancy:

He started a similar thread in the wrong forum, so they got merged. I'm not sure why he was made OP though.

Are my pics still not working? Looks fine from here >_>

Yeah, they're working now. I approve of K-On!

This is a little irritating though, It's happened to me twice before. The 2 other times were on deskthority. I made a "post your setup" thread when the forum was still brand new and nobody had made one. It had like 10 pages of reply's. Then some other person came along and made a new "post your setup" thread and mine got removed. I don't get it! It keeps happening to me D'x

Merge takes into consideration time stamps, he posted his 20 minutes prior to you Lethal, but in other geeky stuff.  I merged to here, since that makes sense  :)   And I'll find a DT shot and stick it in here later to keep things going.

Well since I started the thread in the right place, I should be the OP!

Nah, I'm just kidding. It doesn't really matter. :P

Sorry for putting it in the wrong place :( and sorry because I got the first post on it :(
anyway : Nice pics so far, I love your desktop Alaricljs!

but for the moment no one is really using something like Rainmeter or anything like that right?
if some of you do, could you please post the name of the most important addons you use with it? it would help person and like that, they will not have to post their question like "what is the addon that makes ..." ^^

I'll edit my post when I have time to put the name of addons I'm using :)

It's my favorite desktop ever. Whenever I change to another desktop, I always seem to gravitate back to this one. IDK if it's a part of a series, I wish it was so I can get more in this style. I found it on Wallbase.net, I'll post a link or reup it when I get home.

yeah, i use them centered.  those are grabs from printed posters that were produced about a year ago.  you can still buy reprints of the posters, but that's the highest res I was able to find.  That said, they just need to be converted to vector (since it's all straight lines/pixels) and then it could be scaled easily.

I know, I know. I usually use one of either XFCE, LXDE, Fluxbox, or Openbox. But this was a new install of Ubuntu, and I decided to try Unity for a while. :)

I needed something simple to set up and configure and keep updated so I just grabbed the latest *buntu but since I hate the way gnome is going I use xmonad as the WM, xmobar, and the rest is standard stuff like GTK+ for GUI and I even still use gnome-terminal.  I customized it very lightly and for the most part I'm happy with it.
