The rightmost cap in your picture is supposed to go two places left, so it's number two from left to right. Also, you have it turned backwards ;)

thanks man! much appreciated..!

Well blow me over, you will never guess what.  The keycaps have just arrived. :bounce:

First impressions are very good. The texture of the surface reminds me of Commodore PET keyboards.  The Commodore Key is very cool as is the SYS key. They also appear to sit slightly lower on the Filco which is an improvement on the original keycaps.  Also while typing this with them they also sound slightly softer than the original caps.  I am using these on a Filco Majestouch with browns.

Well done to 7Bit and iMav and thank you for your communication throughout the process.  Delay or not, I will be taking part in GB4.

Thank you. (pictures will follow soon)

Keycaps have arrived. Orange blanks are ORANGE, almost fluorescent! Spent a long lunch fitting them to my filco drawing puzzled looks from my workmates. I need to have a proper look when I get home as I think that I may have some extra keys.

@ 7bit and iMav. Thanks for or all the hard work that you put into this group buy!

Does this mean this 5,473 post thread will eventually end?

Don't be so daft! It will go on until round 4 ends, thanks to all the mistakes Signature Plastics made. And then further, if they don't get them right on the second try. Maybe we can close it in 2013!

Seriously, it's very disappointing to not have a caps lock that fits a Cherry keyboard, and I suggest that mistake be rectified asap.

Whinging aside, I'm very grateful to 7bit and iMav for all the effort they've put in - thanks!

I got the number of boxes I was expecting, yesterday and today, but maybe I have a bonus box coming because so far I'm missing all the speciality keys I ordered (escapered etc).

Well I appear to have everything I ordered though I have no intention of checking the big bag containing two blank orange sets (I hope that you used scales to weigh them out iMav). Anyway, I haven't been following who is missing what but I do appear to have some extras for the standard set in my box...

Ah yes, I found an kind-of left-side ISO size SHIFT key in both of my standard kits, however they are not in the reference wiki. Are they supposed to be there? 4 different sized shift keys.

Off the top of my head - could that be a right shift for the G80-1800 etc?

If you mean the board where right shift is a bit smaller to accommodate the up button, then no; that shift is larger than the one I'm referring to.

Yes, but - the 1800 is the one without touchpad/trackball, and it's right shift is slightly shorter than the ones with a pointing device. Just checked - it is 2x :)

First page says a 2x key is included with the (full) blank sets - it's not mentioned for the standard set, but I vaguely remember it being discussed. (It might even have been me that suggested it, but after 8 months ...).

Received keys. First of all I would like to thank 7bit for organizing this group buy. And of course iMav for the colossal job in sorting out the keycaps. I was having a headache alone after sorting out my own ones, lol -- not to mention thousands of the things!
I would also like to thank them and the community for making this possible. For this is a special day, it is the first time I have a 'native' keyboard layout on my keyboard which is not only really novel. It is also pleasing to the eye! So I would like to thank the community here at geekhack for making this possible and of course other people especially other colemakians for subsidizing the relevant kits to make it somewhat affordable (as far as keycaps go, lol).

Some pics are here.

Although I need to doublecheck my doubleshots (to be verified) I think I may have some duplicates such as the
Quote

key and I seem to have too many ISO shifts for some reason. Also some missing ones such as unnubbed F and an Alt. Will do a full inventory soon incase they fell behind my desk or I simply missed them.

So far my kits look good (with notable exception below), though I did find one duplicate key at least. If people are missing things like single keys, maybe we should get a thread going on possibly coordinating getting them sent to people that are missing them.

The notable exception is that I only got one POS set instead of /four/. Did anyone happen to get 180 extra caps sent to them by accident? :(

I received my order yesterday, that's really cool... thank you so much 7-bit !  :-)

But that's only to discover I need more again because the new centered-upper-cased labelling (the coolest choice on earth as I love the vintage look) does not match with the "first round" standard kit I have got last year which was half-"vintage-cool" and half "modern not cool" :-/

So I realize I do need an extra new "STANDARD" kit to complete my needs.... Is there any possibility for a fourth round in the future ? :)

A big thank you to iMav and to 7bit. My keys have arrived and I am very happy with them. The only issue I can see is with the stepped caps lock key but we all know about that and I will rectify in Round 4.

In terms of the clear blank keycaps I am so sorry I ordered so many iMav, it must have been a nightmare sorting them!!!

I'll post some pics when I get a chance, still awaiting my backlit board for the clear blanks.

Thanks again!!!

I really dislike the way the asterisk looks on the SP doubleshot keys. :(

Asterisks are usually drawn with only 5 tips because otherwise it starts looking like a beach ball.

Anybody else get a "K" that is the wrong profile?  Mine is row 2 shape, not row 3.  Sticks up maybe a mm from the others on its row.

I wonder if it's a vagrant from some other language kit..?

@nathanscribe: that would be a K from the Dvorak set, iMav's sorting isn't fool-proof.

Aha, thanks - you just saved me trawl through the layout pics.

EDIT: wouldn't a Dvorak "K" be row 4, not row 2..?  I can't find any pics of the R3 Dvorak kit to check its contents.

Everyone has a different way of naming the rows.

It could also be from the Colemak kit, K is on the bottom there too. (The only reason I omitted that detail is I don't look at the keyboard when I type. Touch typing FTW!)

Row 2? QWERTY row? That's very strange! Colemak and Dvorak move K to row 4, and I don't think any language has K on row 2. My 2 Ks are OK, so they aren't all like that.

Received my keycaps today in QLD, Australia and they look great!! Thanks 7bit and iMav for the hard work! I spent a couple of hours checking if I received all my keys (I now totally understand why iMav's not going to be the sorter for next round) and unfortunately I'm missing a few: 2 x SPACEGREY (I only received 1 of the 3 I ordered) and 2 x SCWINTERRAN (I received all my other SC keys though). I also had a MODIFIER set where there arent any stepped RUBOUT and SYMBOL keys and no stepped CONTROL keys for the 3 x STANDARD sets I ordered but I'm guessing its supposed to be like that.

Forgot to mention: my order # is 129.

Used a previously-owned stepped caps lock for the Cherry G80..
The other keyboard is a custom from OTD. (pretty heavy one with a brass plate on the back side)

I hate to keep harping on this, but I've yet to get a response from iMav or 7bit. I think I might be the only one who is missing multiple sets instead of keys (which I don't mind as much). I realize how difficult this whole process has been, but the POS kits were a large (and important) chunk of my order, and were in fact the only reason why I actually ordered anything in the first place.

So the problems that my order had was the lack of 1.25 Terran keys and a upside down ]} key in one of my standard sets. Are either of these two problems going to be corrected or at least refunded? Should I be bugging someone with PMs?

Much thanks to 7bit and iMav for sending me a spare F1 key!

Now fingers crossed for the error'd caps lock key...
