"Cosmos Black" Marble Wrist Rest for GMK Apollo

After a first collaboration with GMK Coral, it is now with GMK Apollo  !

Current Status (06/07) :
I received the pieces from the manufacturer and I am satisfied with the quality.
Some pieces were QCed out, but no impact on the ordered pieces.
Packaging is on-going and shipping date is mid-June

Now, place to the questions :

Why this collaboration ?

First time I saw the renders of GMK Apollo, I realized it was fitting perfectly with a photo I took long ago :



Those are a Lunar artisan made by Dwarf Factory and one of my black marble wrist rest.
Some of my black marbles really look like a window on the infinite void of space.
That is why we decided to collaborate with GMK Apollo to bring a great match of wrist rest.

What is the color this time ?

"Cosmos Black" !
I filtered all the black marbles to keep only the darkest black with only a few white inclusions.
This is to have marble wrist rests which look like "void" or dark with white stars.

You can judge directly with the photos at the bottom

How many pieces and sizes will be available ?

• 60%: 40 pieces are already in my inventory and will be available on 25th Feb. They can be shipped within 1 to 2 weeks.
• 65/75%: GB starting on 25th Feb, limit is 30 pieces max. Product will be shipped 4 months after the GB end.
• TKL: GB starting on 25th Feb, limit is 30 pieces max. Same as for 65% above
• Split,40%,..: if there are several demands, that can be a possibility 

Note: Design will be a bit different between the 60% and others.
The 60% has a flat design with 2 large rounded corners, while other sizes will have an angled design with smaller rounded corners.

• 60%: 30cm long x 8cm large x 1.6cm thick, (11.8inch x 3.15 inch x 0.63 inch.)
• 65%: 31.5cm long x 8cm large x 1.6cm thick, (12.4inch x 3.15 inch x 0.63 inch.), also fit 75% keyboards.
• TKL: 36cm long x 8cm large x 1.6cm thick, (14.2inch x 3.15 inch x 0.63 inch.),

• 60%: 60USD + shipping from TW (22 USD to USA)
• 65/75%: 65USD + shipping from TW (22 USD to USA)
• TKL: 68USD + shipping from TW (22 USD to USA)
• Split,40%,..: TBD, if it happens

Yes, there will be extra.

To be transparent : I ordered a lot of black marble wrist rests from my manufacturer and among them I will select the "cosmos black" ones.

Cosmos Black : Deep black or a cloudy black/grey or a black with a few white dots (as stars). (basically, rejecting the ones with most of white inclusions)

The remaining ones will be sold as normal "black".

What is the difference between “Cosmos Black” and “Black” ?
“Black Cosmos” Series a limited serie for GMK Apollo, is specially cherry-picked pieces among the “Black” series.Those are pieces that looks like void/space.
“Black” series has a wider variety of colors/patterns.

Good news, I received all the pieces and I am satisfied with the quality 
 
I also made the selection of "Cosmos Black" among all those pieces and the packaging is on-going.
Shipping should be around 15 June.

Pieces ordered before 15 June will be shipped with DHL !

There are quite a lot of different patterns, each piece is really unique !

All marble wrist rests have been delivered (except one in Australia) 

Unfortunately, for the first time, I heard a few pieces have been damaged during transportation. Probably because this angled version is thinner.

That's an interesting question, a matte version would require to not polish the stone that much, but then the surface will not be that smooth anymore :/
