Does it use the same mold as alpacas? I'm scared that the switches will be less smooth than the alpacas because of mold being used more.

+1 for EU proxy, and please add 62g option (alongside or instead of 67g).
Thank you.
Would you mind making a survey for the 62/67g option?
Thanks, answered!
(secretly hoping for the original 67g option)
Indeed,it is nevertheless hard to know where this majority is sometimes. Thanks, answered!

I am too. I very much enjoy heavier switches but I think it’s only fair to consider majorly ruling here.
I'm excited that these have been well received thus far!!!
We are close to having enough requests to feel comfortable with getting this party started!
A Couple Notes:
1.) These aren't themed around Handerbeit. Handerbeit is litterally a vomit pallet and this is 2 Primary and 1 secondary color. But I can see the resemblance lol
I actually like the 67 gr idea. Alpacas are currently, what, 62 gr? I find them a little light.+1
67 gr would be interesting, and probably unique. I'd also be okay with 65 gr. Something just a little heavier than stock.
I'm surprised that people are enjoying the 62 gr weight so much. The Alpaca is a great switch, but I am bottoming-out more than I should because it is so smooth and offers so little resistance. It's too fun to press all the way down, so a little more weight could help.
I just read elsewhere that Durock offers these switches in 65 gr. as the 'Mauve' linear. So that's good, there's an established 65 gr. version of these.
I also read that 65 gr suits these switches well. So I'd be very interested in getting these in the 65 gr. weight.
These will be in stock on PrimeKB.com around the end of March. This could be delayed due to the coronavirus situation in China. The_Royal will also be stocking them. I'll open up pre-orders once I get the shipping notification from Durock.
any idea about the switch top fit? I keep asking on all of these durock switches because I hope they can address the issue. I own 5 different types of durock switches and they all have loose top housings. The worse offender is the Koala, and the tighest fit has been on the more recent Lilac tactiles. Are they trying to fix it? It's quite a hassle to have to add films to every switch to keep upstroke rattle down.

I haven't heard anything from Durock about it. So I'm gonna assume these will be about the same as the others.
A quick update about these switches. They were ordered back in January. While Durock is working towards restoring their full production capacity, new custom colored switches such as these are being pushed to the back of the production queue so they can focus on their backlog of switches that have already been proofed. No idea when they will start the color matching process for these.
These would be awesome to use in a build for my son. Definitely want to see these come to be.

Is this going to be a groupbuy? Would hate to see these sell out like alpacas do and not be able to grab some.
Count me in simply because I can't find any alpacas lol I'll be stocking up hard on these

You can buy durock linears from their AliExpress store, unless you want a recolor like alpaca or tyke.
Nah fam, those are OOS too. I plan on waiting for these anywayCount me in simply because I can't find any alpacas lol I'll be stocking up hard on these

ngl this will probably fit epbt cool kids really well
any update on this set?
These look sick! Will ddef cop them when they become available. I was not aware the Alpacas were only a recolor, does anyone know the name of the original switch? Are there any differences besides colors and spring weight?

I'm not sure what Alpacas was a recolour of, or if it was just a recolour.
Durock makes various lines of stock, plain-coloured linear switches such as L1 and L7 in 67 gr weights. According to Durock, those switches are close to the various 67 gr recolours. These Lil' Tyke switches may be recolours of L1/L7-type switches.
Alpacas could be a recolour and spring-swap of normal Durock 67 gr linears, or at least the base design. I'm sure it's been written about somewhere.
Thanks for the update; definitely, looking forward to picking up at least 70!These look sick! Will ddef cop them when they become available. I was not aware the Alpacas were only a recolor, does anyone know the name of the original switch? Are there any differences besides colors and spring weight?

For all intents and purposes, these are literally “Recolored Alpacas” directly ordered by PrimeKB.
So it will be the same exact switch just a little heavier.
Cool! A similar colored keyboard would be awesome, paired with ePBT Cool kids...Show Image(https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/016/911/mcmahongif.PNG)
Is this IC still alive? I really want some of these to go with ePBT Cool Kids!Nice, I might have to steal your idea. I bought cool kids too!

So Durock has informed us that Production had slowed for Custom colorway switches. We are still in line for production but there are dozens of other custom orders awaiting production as well.
They told us it would be over a month to get caught up with current full orders.
We have yet to receive samples but they assured us they will done as soon as there team is able to amidst the large queue.
So maybe another month, maybe two. Hard to say.
I will definitely show off the samples and let everyone know when we get word on the full production status. :thumb: :thumb:

We are in queue for production but I guess Durock is a bit slammed on new custom orders ATM.
Here is the update from Late May:

Here's a pic of the color matching samples. I think they look pretty good. The factory doesn't take the best pictures. In the past their color matching has been very good.Good day holtenc , I'm interested & plan to get at least 70 to go w/ epbt cool kids; BTW, any spare dsa bounty hunter or honeywell sets you can sell me? Had to let go of my prior set for $$$$, so my fingers are crossed for both sets if you have spares & i need enough kits to fit a candybar mkbShow Image(https://i.imgur.com/SgGX5ME.jpg)

They won't be a group buy. The Royal and I will get together and make a plan for a date etc.
Love these so much. Order placed! I too will be using these with cool kids.Yes, that’s alright!
Have a look on the post and I don't know whether your description mentioned that this switch is using new mold that is similar to the ones making alpacas or just the same mold?
Just wondering, what lube is used for the stock switch? And what is the feedback on stock lube? Do we need to relube? Thanks!
