Keyboard looks very clean, I wonder what influenced the design, and if it sounds any good while typing?

Mmm, what you mean by "influenced the design"? I've mentioned my main goals behind the design feature-wise in the OP. Design language behind Ellipse is mainly a play on other geometric shapes instead of a rectangle, here it's based on an ellipse with cut sides. Ellipse is the first design behind a possible series of boards which would be called "Geometry Series". Objective for the collection will be offering a mid-tier limited quantity keyboards with multi-mount so end-user has a lot of customization options within a single board. Design is important but I believe in giving more usable features instead of just aesthetics with premium pricing. Just to not start the discussion - I am not saying Ellipse is a "budget" or "entry" but it gives people actual features, not only good looks, so, hopefully, more people are tempted to grab a unit and turn it into their daily board.
