We did try something else with the acrylic base, here is some thoughs and reasons why it look so basic:

Acrylic is a hard but brittle material so anything that weakening the structure are out of options, that led to part and feature need to be somewhat bulky to be reasonable sturdy. We tested out several design but too much bulkiness to four sides decrease the aesthetic too, and adding features to the back is not worth the effort since we not see them in use anyway. It not possible for the current 60, but I have something interesting for the up coming hhkb since I have more room to play on the front side.

And the side stands design are not fixed, there will be more option to choose in near future, it worth keeping the base low profile so it go well with many other bold stand design.

Finally, Lustro meant to be budget option of the line-up (Weaven cost more for snug-fit modular parts and excessive use of carbon and still nothing compare to some of our concepts). Any design that drive the cost up are carefully calculated before available for IC and GB.

I love talking about design so it maybe longer response than needed, haha.

PS we waiting for smokey prototype too.

The thick bottom did a great job already, but I will try some reflective sticker to keep the light bouncing, maybe?

Yes it is, we ordered a lot kind of 60% to study more about the layout and what you can do with it, resulting in we have a lot laying around so we just randomly pick one to put in the prototype :P

I don't know what info you want about the board, for functional it is an interesting practice of getting use of the RGB SMD LEDs for the switches without the need of using Cherry MX RGB one, the LED is placed on PCB's back side and illuminate the switch through a hole cut on the PCB, by that way it can be used with any clear cased Cherry MX compatible switches such as Gateron for example.

I switched over to Weaven, but it ended the same as this, so it's probably still relevant. I received my PayPal notice early this morning, so things are moving. Two buys ended together and there is probably a lot to sort through - just try to be patient. I know it sucks, but it takes time...

There's a lot of the waiting game in this hobby so I'm totally ok with it, but always nice to hear about updates. I'm waiting to throw Leandren's latest GB onto this so the sooner the better, but it'll come when it comes so I found it best to distract myself by spending more  money on other projects to pass the time.

My thing about group buys has always been the communication. Once that falters, it seems like everything is all doom and gloom.

I am going to throw a GH60 into mine - no need for lighting really, not on the Weaven, along with some R3 Zealio (so I am waiting on those anyways).

Really want to see what everyone's looks like once they're built.

I think both are supported, but if they are building it for you, I would expect Cherry PCB. They are easier to find in general and are what Winkeyless sells, so I assume they are going to go that way. I am really hoping Zeal gets his stabs out soon, but ordered a set of Cherry (separately) just in case - haven't decided if it would be worth all the (de)soldering to change out stabs after the fact, but will certainly pick up a set anyways.

I bought a set of blank dark grey Gateron off MechMarket to tide me over for a bit, but am really wanting to get in on Skeletor when it moves forward. I even thought about going purple/sky blue on the Weaven to compliment it, but figured gun metal would be 'interchangeable' if I ever decided to use different caps.

Could always try to find some Linear Zeals if you want the quality that Zeal switches have but still fit the White/Red theme. Obviously won't be the same as the Tactiles, but hey.

About invoicing progress: so far all of people who order winkeyless Weaven are the only to receive invoice. Next in plan is the rest of the Weaven and the Lustro order that does not come with assembling parts, people with assembling parts will be last since I have to calculate the total cost for parts too, sorry for that I hope you understand
