Hey mate, they're either row 1 or row 4 (different sites tell me different things) - whichever the escape key row is!

Currently the project is waiting on software unfortunately :( Machine had to change around a few things to get it to do what we want it, definitely getting closer to a release date though! :D

UPDATE:

Hi all, I really don't want to wait till July 1st to start manufacturing, I want to get these out to people as soon as possible.

So I'm moving the deadline/end date forward to June 20th 1 PM (GMT+10)

Here is a video of how the metal keycap sounds in comparison to plastic keycaps:

Well, you'd be surprised how many people you can sell "bling" to. And not everyone who's into keyboards is on either GH or Reddit.

And I know, I'd love to do that but I'm currently not remotely close to anyone who's I'm able to do a pickup from.

Rendering is super important in my career to portray/present my designs before they're manufactured, so I appreciate the kind words!!  ;D 



Also, the QAZ30 Enclosure has been machined! Still needs to be bead-blasted and anodized :D

Sorry about that "serious" comment. Serious or not, I think it would be nice to have a Cherry profile version that will match up 100% with GMK or PBT sets that are in that profile, rather than OEM profile. :)

I don't think it'll bother people if they put it on the Esc of TKLs, etc. I'm waiting for Cherry because I put artisans on 60% as well, and all of my sets are now in Cherry profile, so the OEM will clash.

Otherwise, I don't think it's too big of an issue. It's not like it's stopped people from collecting ClickClack's blanks.  :rolleyes:

I don't think you understand my point of view. Of course it would be alright to mix and match whatever, but if RAMA could offer us Cherry profile, then that would even be better from the end user's perspective, as you always want to have as many options as possible. Just a suggestion for him to cater to more people. :)

Nothing to be sorry about, some people are more serious than others about things like this and I just happen to be one that doesn't care too much :)

Rome does have a good point though as I was just thinking about full size and TKL keyboards, but having it off on a 60% or smaller would definitely be distracting and kind of annoying.

I completely understand your point of view, which is why I mentioned that it won't be as big of an issue if people used it on the Esc of TKLs, since that lone key is separated from the rest of the keys and the profile wouldn't be as noticed as much.

Rama seems really good with requests and has made changes pretty often it seems, so I'm sure it'll happen eventually.

And speaking of 1800 layout, what is a good board to give it a try?  I think I would really like one at work but don't know which one would be good to start with.

I'd rather not chat on someone's thread and derail it too much, but check out Cherry 1800 cases with Leeku 1800 PCB. It looks original but with the added benefits of all the custom keyboard customization (layouts, keymapping), as well as backlight support.
