RealForce Hipro
« on: Fri, 17 May 2013, 16:20:41 »
I've been looking for a review of this board for quite some time now.  They've been up at EK for a while now.  Can someone either post a review here, or send me a link to an active review?  I've looked everywhere and can't find any kind of a review.

Thanks,

I'm also very interested! Would love to see pictures, videos, and audio recordings for this beautiful keyboard! Comparisons with other Topre keyboards would be amazing.

I received mine earlier today. Can't compare vs another Realforce but I did have an FC660C.

The Hipro looks even better than the picts...aesthetics are great.  Switches are crisp and lite...very similar to MX Reds, but..."smoother". However, I preferred the feel of the the Leo...maybe a little crisper.

However, the Hipro keys aren't doing much for me... :(. Will give it the weekend, but likely will pass this along (anyone interested can drop me a PM ;) ).

What don't you like about them? Are they too high, or is it the spherical profile that's throwing you off?

I expect Round4 SPH to have a very similar profile as the HiPro.

Fair question, hard to describe. I think it's more the angles when using it...just odd for me. On their own, I don't think either the height or spherical profile are too bad...just when combined.

Yeah it could be the overall profile. SP's spherical keycaps have some pretty severe angles compared to the DCS standard.

Pretty much - your summary is far more eloquent than mine ;)
