woah!! i met a 16-year old dingo (possibly pure dingo!) today. looked like a pup with a graying nose. the wilder breeds live so long, and they always get super mellow as they age :D

Does the doggy shed a lot?

Only reason I don't have one is because of the shedding issues :(

Haha, naw...she broke one of her nails when she slipped on the hardwood, so we had to get it wrapped to prevent any further damage.  It's off now though, and she has this stubby nail that's all black haha...kinda gross actually, but it's fine =)

Does the doggy shed a lot?

Long haired dogs will typically have shedding cycles.  So as long as you brush them during those times (typically at the beginning of spring and end of fall), you should be fine as far as shedding goes.  Just don't wear black around them during those times =)  My dog has always been groomed pretty well, and her breed is very OCD about staying clean.

Yeah, if there's anything to know about Eskies, it's that they're incredibly loud and have the blackest nose in the world.  Over time though, she has become this incredibly mellow dog who no longer barks and has a pinkish brown nose now.  I can safely say, she's the cutest now than ever....but I still get really sad because I know she's getting to that age =/

BTW, is there a way to embed YouTube videos with this new forum software?

I've only done it through her ears.  Dogs have a very thin layer of skin inside their ears, so the blood cells absorb the smoke very quick and runs it through the brain for instant awesomeness.  It's a lot safer than letting them breathe it, since their noses are so sensitive to that kinda stuff =)

@mkawa -- I'm thinking you might be getting the wrong idea here lol!

Does the same method work for cats? I am more of a cat person... and I have never tried this with any of my pets (but I feel I should someday lol).

I only have an old Canon Powershot A590IS that I got for $30 at a pawn shop, But I work with what I have and I like the challenge.
The camera has full manual settings, so that's what I use.
These images are straight out of the camera, they haven't been edited.
Keep in mind that I'm not a pro, and I only take photos for fun :D

Well, I must say I'm impressed by your pictures here, and mine don't look that good for now.
I just started photo editing, and I think I'm using (a bit) too much effects, etc.

But still, here they are :

My boss took the keyboard pictures in my signature. I was super excited to see all the turnouts.

Ok, so I think I posted this here before, but I think I should post it again.  My friends and I made a stop-motion light painting video a while back that my friend tried to submit in our highschool movie contest.  Unfortunately, the video resolution was too high, and we were never able to show this video to our school (the laptop the school was using to play the videos was a total piece of ****!).  So, I'll just leave this right here... please watch!

I'm not a skilled photographer but this is probably my best shot to date!  The peak in the background is a fourteener, and this was shot in my backyard :)  Nikon D5100 & kit lens.

Lovely depth of field and the light is just right to outline his (or her?) face and the whiskers :) Nice job!

Also, you have that sort of scenery in your backyard???

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.

Taken with a crappy little p&s camera about a year ago I think.  I was amazed that the hairs on the bee's back were all more or less in focus.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Sorry just saw your response; thanks!!

Yeah, the scenery is definitely one of the perks of living at 11,000 feet!  Dan would be jealous to know that I am most likely the highest GH'er at all times ;)
