Getting into the vinyl world, and in love already
Exploring the "Vinyl Frontier". Some will still argue over vinyl vs cd sound quality. I still prefer vinyl on a good turntable over CD's, the sound is sweeter and warmer to my ears.

Well CD sound quality sucks, FLAC and vinyl are definitely both better

CD quality is the best of the best if it's not "loud." Most of the time, FLAC is ripped from CD if it's not directly from the engineers. Vinyl is a different kind of sound to CD, so comparing them is like saying buckling springs and Topre.

Yeah, the whole point of FLAC is to be a bit-perfect reproduction of CD, that's why I thought that comment was a joke.

The whole vinyl vs CD argument is so dumb.  They're completely different sounds; CD is technically superior (broader range, better reproduction of sound); vinyl can sound warmer and "better" to many; vinyl is just can be (preferences and all that) more enjoyable of an experience (the important part to me).  There.  Argument over.  :P

Speaking of turntables, aren't the Technics coming back? Was going to get an Audio-Technica as my first, and still will, but would like to know whether I should save for a Technics sooner than later.

The green is pretty accurate but the transparent green is actually lighter, and so is the transparent red.

Big mail day for me!

First up is the Adams wheel cleaning kit. I was mainly interested in the Wheel Woolie for cleaning the barrels of my rim but since my other brushes were getting pretty old and because I read good reviews on them I decided to splurge and get some other goodies.

A filter for my upcoming oil change. Its way cheaper to get the filters on Amazon (as long as you have Prime) than it is from places like Advance or NAPA

Oh yeah, and I got these little gems along with some candy!

Technically it didnt come in the mail but I did get this today from a very good friend of mine  :)

I got a mattress.

Show Image

Unfortunately, it's for my new house, and me and my gf bought it when we thought we were going to move into our new house. We had to bump it back to September and because we still haven't moved in, I've had to have it delivered to my parent's house. The only place I can put it is on top of my current mattress.

I feel like i'm sleeping in a bunk bed. I have to hop on and off it because it comes up to the top of my waist.

It's an awesome mattress though. 1200 pocket springs, memory foam top. Damn comfy.

Caught myself thinking whether you plan on lubing the springs or not
Underrated post xD

Vinyl is always deeper, richer, and cleaner.  It also depends on the table, cartridge and stylus.
If you have the right equipment, it makes all the difference in the world.
