Hey
I'm starting to design a sandwich case and I was gonna use M2 screws but I dont know if that's right. I also have no idea how to find anchors.
Anyone know what I'm talking about? And where to find them? (US)
Thanks

I use these in M2.5, though I only resorted to making a sandwich while I wait for my frame to arrive, and not really much of a sandwich as I'm just using two PCBs top and bottom, these as a spacer.

Not exactly what you're asking for but M2.5 is a good size.

You're looking for "threaded standoffs"
-
Yeah. threaded standoffs seem like a decent option. I was just struggling to find one w/ a short enough male end.
I also just found these, which seem decent, but expensive. at least if i was gonna get them from here:

I found a BUNCH of stuff to help me solve this problem. Answers below:
Low Profile flat HEX head screw: (https://www.mcmaster.com/mvb/library/20131104/93070a073l.gif)
https://www.mcmaster.com/#93070a073
Most expensive option
Pan Head Phillips screw: (https://www.mcmaster.com/mvb/library/20160125/92005a128l.gif)
https://www.mcmaster.com/#92005A128
Least expensive by a lot
Best anchor:
Press fit nut for plastic: (https://www.mcmaster.com/mvb/library/20150601/94100a110l.gif)
https://www.mcmaster.com/#94100A110
This will be really nice cause it'll sit nearly flush but still do the job.
Another option if I go w/ a slightly larger screw, is to use bumpers like these as feet:

or if I'm willing to thread the screw from the bottom and use the press fit nuts at the top: (https://images1.mcmaster.com/mvB/contents/gfx/large/9540k27p1l.png?ver=1351499703)

so many options! thanks McMaster-Carr

I bought a box with several different lengths from banggood.com .It was cheap but long delivery time. If you know which length you need you can get them from keeb.io (https://keeb.io/products/m2-screws-and-standoffs?variant=47432051590).
