Houghton is finally getting snow that sticks, everything up to this point has melted because the ground wasn't frozen.  :)

That's a good thing to hear, hopefully it'll start coming to PA. :thumb:

At least you got snow already.    We should be getting some in the next few days finally.  :D
Nice, now we just need a few feet. :))

Also got back some great exam grades. Today is the best day I've had in a while.

Right now Buckling Spring.  Thanks again Nubs, I am getting lots of use out of this board and its so pretty to look at.  :)

Pretty big difference between my 30g uniform Topre at home and this 30 year old buckling spring here at work.  But variety is the spice of life...

What board?
This one.

Except a yearnful longing for 55g Topre domes.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Tomorrow is my first day back to work after the long holiday weekend. I haven't been in the office since last Monday, so it will be a full week. Going back to work isn't what makes me happy though....what makes me happy is getting to use my new HHKB all day for the first time. I'm pretty stoked.

It's the first day of winter, the heating is switched off, and it's +20 in the house.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Finally got the Telstra guy out to fix the phones, and he replaced the wall socket (something I would have done months ago if I had found one for sale somewhere).  Dunno if the phone works better now, but the ADSL internet connection is so much faster!
