But, but... GMK don't have SA profile molds... I guess it'd still be quite an awesome set, though, GMK doubleshots in Solarised colours.

Put it this way. If it is gmk then it would replace a bunch of SA sets. A lot of people bought this set not knowing if they would like SA.  I think we would probably see more SA sets in the classifieds.

I honestly think GMK penumbra would cost too much due to custom colors etc.

Need a direct infusion into your arm of some Jameson's, Hennessy and a dash of Everclear then you'll have some certified pain killing comfort coming your way  .

Yeah, it is just 323. I really feel bad for even asking about it. I know you guys have been putting a tremendous effort into getting all the orders sorted and shipped. I am not in any hurry, all the talk of r2 and seeing the "shipped" status just got me a bit worried that someone may have snatched it out of my mailbox.

Welcome to Geekhack! I'm sure as you spend more time here the Group Buy process will become clearer for you. I too was confused on how to get involved and track these events.

The answer is simple: money.

To do a run of custom keycaps you need to meet a MOQ (minimum order quantity) because the molds and colours have to be set up in a factory. The overhead for doing this for only one set of keys would make it ridiculously expensive. That is why it's called a 'group buy'. The order is placed for the whole group by some kind (crazy) souls and then the orders sorted are redistributed back to individuals. Sometimes there are production delays, shipping delays and personal life stuff that slow these things down. Group buy leaders go though all that to benefit the community and they don't make any money from doing this; so even if you had crazy amounts of money it would be a bit of a lame move to 'just order a set' without consulting them first. (I have no idea what legal ownership the designers of the set have, but I'm sure that Signature Plastics would not want to screw over their previous customers? so maybe it's not even possible)

Because it's very expensive. It's around 700 dollars if you want an individual order. It's much cheaper if the community buys it in bulk.
