Long shot, price check on MKC metal starcraft/alliance keycaps with some backlight compatability.

Shouldn't you know exactly how much these cost since you are going to sell them soon via a GB?

market research?  :))

Not exactly a GB, self investment.

Well the decent thing would be to sell them at cost plus shipping and account a few dollars for your time.

You are right that isn't a group buy you bought them to resell so you'll have to get your 25 posts and 2 months in so you can post a classifieds thread. Unless you sell on ebay or something.

Sounds about right, thanks for the info! Just gotta distribute some of those delicious goods to the rest of the SC2 community that revolves around mechanical keyboards  :thumb:

I am sorry since I am new to the keyboard world(I donno abt the price for new), so it should be value around 120~150?
And this is the question from me, it seems the 101 was released around 03/04, some of those should have been used at least 5-7 years. Will the quality of this 101 be fine after like normal use for few years?

Thanks again! :p

I have too many boards, and I've not touched this one in months, Been thinking of selling/trading it to finance some more projects.

QFR ( originally with mx blacks )
Painted case ( will also include an in package black stock case )
Stock caps ( never used )
white blank WASD keyset
changed the LED's from red to white.

Currently, the main keys are stock clear switches, with blacks elsewhere, but I could change them to all blacks, or a hybrid of clears and browns with black springs. ( or all reds )

Model M - 1992 (1391401). Left untouched forever, light to no use over the course of 10+ years. Everything nice and clicky, cord in perfect condition.

I usually see Model Ms in that good of a condition go for $30-35 plus shipping, but someone else can feel free to correct me.

E: Assuming from the part number that it's PS/2

I guess this sort of answers my own price check above, the one I was looking at would be on the low end of the scale, while yours is probably on the higher end. Again, if someone else has more up-to-date info, please chime in.

I have not been in the Model M market for a while. What you say is about right for recent years, but I was under the impression that "classic" M prices had been spiking in recent months, and are now at about parity with new Unicomps.

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

With the mods, extras and offer to custom the switch to buyer preference I don't think $80-90 would be out of bounds.

Wondering if someone could help me with a price on my beige Filco TKL (ANSI layout).

Board features:-

MX Black switches with 45g springs from Originative
Stainless steel plate
Digital Camo replacement cable
Macross DSA caps

Bearing in mind the above mods and included keycaps, how much could I expect?

Yes, I think your cost would be the main determinant... that said, I think somewhere in the neighborhood of $350 would be fair, maybe even as high as $400 since new Kingsavers are incredibly scarce at this point.

If they're add ons to the current GB he's planning or to help them get rid of inventory, sell it at group buy price + shipping.  That's the ethical way of doing it, IMO, especially if you're just facilitating the buy and serving as a middle man.

I am not really opposed to GB facilitators receiving something for their time and energy. But, as I noted, the main determinant should be his cost.

In general, I think if one fronts the money himself, it is his right to set the price as he sees fit. If one collects money in a GB fashion, it is OK to get something out of it as I noted (e.g., the cost of one of the units), but the goal should not be to maximize profit since it's not one's own money at stake. Hopefully that's not what he has in mind.
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

OK, looking for price check on:

Cherry MX blacks
Cherry MX browns
Cherry MX blues

Switches are all PCB mounted.
Some are brand new, some are used, none are in bad condition eg rusted corroded. As they are all from G80-8200; G80-8113 keyboards that don't look too old, I'm not sure about 'vintage'. These are 1990s and later keyboards.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

I always say $0.15-0.25 a switch for used switches.

I've got an ergodox w/ cherry mx greens with the clear acrylic standard cases, its all put together but the teensy is actually fried put I have another jerry rigged in, I just don't have the skills to unsolder the old one trust me I spent like 3 hours trying and no luck. But everything is fully functional it just does't look the best. Also I have blue blank keycaps from elitekeyboard.com. If I was looking to sell what would something like that be worth?

MX Black switches with 45g springs from Originative
Stainless steel plate
Digital Camo replacement cable
Macross DSA caps
Board: 20~30% off retail depending on the condition, account age
Springs: I wouldn't put this into the mix, it's more of a "personal" mod, and some people would immediately switch this out
Plate: I'd give it a 5~10% off tops
Cable: Full price for this if it's well maintained(no fraying)
DSA: Also 5% off, full price if there's no visible wear

you got an entire Deck keyboard FOC from AdmiralIvorian, and you still want to sell it after taking away the switches, LEDs, cable and the keycaps?

Well done my friend. Someone'll pay you money I'm sure. I recommend $0.

What's a Steel Brobot Topre worth these days?

Bro discourages profiteering on his caps, so like nubs said, what you paid for it.

I bought it second-hand, would it be bad to sell it for the price i bought it for? (not saying i'm selling)

Depends on condition and compatibility.  A shiny 1800 set with 1x mods would be around $35.  Mint condition with 1.25x mods and proper rshift would be worth much more imo.  Genuine 1.5x WoB mods are also more rare.

$35 for a shiny wob set seems a bit much to me..
This sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before.

@Fernir I think you made the mistake when you originally bought it expensive, now you can sell it for what you payed.
This sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before.

Eh, well yes it really depends on condition for Cherry keycap. Posting a picture with the price check is often best if possible. But I would put a well used 1800/7000 set with 1x mods more like $10-15. It's not exactly tough to find those.
While a mint 3000 set with all doubleshot with 1.5 or 1.25 (MX with correct stem, not MY type!) other than the Windows and menu key which was always pad print could be more like $80-100. Those are for ANSI US sets also... other language layout can change price wildly.

Does anyone have any DSA/SA caps so I can try them out? Im scared to participate in group buys and such because I am leary about how I feel about the profile. .-.

Well considering that I've seen Steel Brobot's for sale for over 200$ I didn't think it was a bad move to pay 90$ for it shipped. I can't seem to find the original price anywhere though.
