What's an original Cherry thick dyesub set in good condition worth?

Also a GMK purple set?

Thanks!

You should be explicit about the purple set not being an original complete set. That will have an affect on the valuation.

The right shift is missing but I'm going to try and find that. Anything else that's missing?

1.25 Ctrl and Alts, which could definitely be a big deal for a lot of people.

Edit: If you do have/find those and the shift, I'd be interested. :D

I priced it at $50 shipped without the shift and 1.25x ctrl and alts. If I find them, I'll update the classified ad and let you know.

Cool, GLWS. Given how few of those sets are sold on the classifieds I bet someone will be interested.

Thanks!

Dyesubs run the gamut, I'll let Photekq get that one.

As for GMK purple, the new full set went for $41 + shipping.  Yours is missing the following keys:

  • Full-touch Caps Lock
  • 2.25x Shift
  • Both 1.25x Alt
  • Both 1.25x Ctrl
  • Three 1.25x blanks

It also has two additional 1x Ctrl keys.

It's unusable with standard keyboards and only (mostly) works with winkeyless G80 or Korean keyboards.  Even then you're missing a shift.

Since it's such an incomplete set and missing 7 keys that came with the original (9 if you don't count the extras that replaced them, which is just under 1/3 of the original set of 32), I'd say $20-30.  It's definitely not worth the full group buy price.

Realforce 87UB (black), essentially brand new, with 45g/55g mixed domes?

Any clacks involved?

If you want a quick sell I think ~$170-180 shipped CONUS, realforce boards are weird some sell super fast other just sit forever.

I've been out of the loop for awhile. Do all sales include CCs now? No, just the board....

I can't seem to remember the price of a Leeku G80-1800 PCB.  What's a fair price for a Leeku G80-1800 PCB, Dolch case, G81 case, stabilizers, and "vintage" Blues?  Nothing has been soldered yet since I was debating between through hole and SMD diodes.

I think kin25 is selling a plate/PCB combo for 75, Dolch case maybe 75? G81 case no more than like 25, stabalizers = 12$ or less, and maybe 35 for vintage blues?

Prepare your inbox...

The soft touch I think you should be able to name your price, the switches are highly sought after. Not sure about the soft click, but again, super rare switch type and board so you're looking at €100+ at a guess.

Price check needed for Zenith ZKB-2.

I found 3 in semi-grody condition that a lab is getting rid of.  I think I will find a way to get one for myself at the very least.  These switches are some sexy feeling linears.

Green Alps are highly regarded, but I think that Zenith prices are a roller-coaster.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

99 + shipping + paypal fees, which is what I sold mine for.

you might get some people who sell for more. (this is not knocking vendors who sell at marked up price after orders are already shipped out, that's very valid).

you didn't sell it technically speaking, just letting someone else jump into your spot instead. like getting a refund basically. i did the same with a colorpack from Ivan's Dolch GB last year. though i think upping the price is fair game once the caps have been produced and distributed to the original buyers

I'm not sure about just with the RoW mods, but a complete OTD RA 2.0 + 2.1 set is worth about $250-300.

Well, those sets were a bit extravagant, IIRC. How much did they cost in the first place? No one ever says that. Whatever is over that is Korean hypepricing.
The sets were extravagant to say the least. The 2.0 set had over 170 keys I think. Here's a picture of the full 2.0 + 2.1 set.

The GB was run by Sixty & Uranium on deskthority & otd respectively. From the original thread :

1 Base Set - Red Alert (170 keys - all options included!) - $63,00
1 Addon Set - Red Alert Experimental (18 keys) - $18

So yeah, compared to that the market price of $250-300 is pretty insane. I know I would never pay that price. But, anyway, that's definitely the market price nowadays unfortunately.

That said, I do think the set from that group buy looks a lot nicer than any of the other SP red alerts. It's one of the only SP sets that I actually like the look of.

they were produced by SP so probably fairly inexpensive to start with. i'm used to keycaps being resold for 30-40% markup but 300-400% is  no point complaining about aftermarket prices though

edit: photec with the goods. but where are the RoW mods?? must have been another variant then, as the mod legends are different as well

Right next to the beige ones.. The beige is just quite light, so it's hard to see the difference in that picture.

That looks like it could be either the red alert v2 group buy run by ragnorock or the klaxon group buy run by tjcaustin. Both GH group buys, nothing to do with OTD. I would guess the market prices would be far more reasonable, but I haven't seen one for sale in a while.

strange, because i pulled this photo from keypuller's entry on OTD RA. it's definitely not the klaxon, that set has noticeably darker shades of red and grey. using my sherlock-esque deduction skill, this would mean it's the ragnarock produced set

thanks for the info on the OTD RA! kind of a mind blowing moment for me, must be the highest prices SP caps will ever fetch :))

I do agree that marking up prices is all right after the caps go out. But not for the kind of transaction I was enacting.

But not for the kind of transaction I was enacting.
definitely not, hence why i shared my similar experience  :thumb: just thought your statement of "you might get greedy people who sell for more" is unfair to people who sell for higher prices afterwards (not just vendors), but i can see how i misinterpreted what you said because "selling" is quite ambiguous in that particular context

Ah I was being too heavy handed myself there. I meant that phrase in passing haha, I'll edit though, it could be misinterpreted.

I don't mind paying extra for vendors, they often save GBs. My first GMK came from a vendor and I still remember the loud cries of my wallet.

just out of curiosity, what new venture necessitated you to drop both the TA and Hyperfuse sets?

Dolch too.

Practicality. I set a budget limit for this hobby. Was getting close to ceiling so needed to free up space. Trying to get a BSP Olivetti set so wanted to free some room, and also trying to get a good headphone setup. That and I don't like having my eggs all in one basket.

Caps are beautiful. But I'm a user, not a collector at heart.

good choice, BSP Olivetti is definitely the best commonly available iteration of that color scheme imo. i think photec posted a set of vintage Olivetti once, the best i've ever seen but it isn't within the reach of us plebs. dropping 3 GMK sets for it.. you must like blue a lot :-) saving money is never a bad thing though.

hope you get a good headphone setup that will last a long time. my $800 midfi rig's only been with me for 2 years and i already feel the need to upgrade..
