If I were to buy a k70 rgb and swap the switches for gaterons, how much would that be worth?  I'd like to get some clear housing cherry switches.  Or is there a group buy for those somewhere?
There was one for the clear switch housing but it ended. Look in the group buy section perhaps Shadovved still has some spare.

I occasionally read that the MS Sidewinder X4 is desirable, any idea how much would one in great condition go for?

It's interesting only thanks to the 17KRO and relatively good value for the money, compared to competition. I certainly wouldn't pay more than €20 to €30 for one in mint condition.

I've got a KMAC2 with stickered, lubed, clear top 62g clears. What would be the going rate these days?

Anybody?

I have a nice clean IBM Model M SSK fully bolt-modded, complete, and operational with a few very small random dings as are always found.

It is a 1987 model 1391472 and I could use the cash if I could get the right price for it.

They seem to be selling in the low-mid-$200 range without the cleaning and bolt-mod.

Would $250 be fair?

Did they go back up to $200?  The last few I saw sell were in the $150 range.

I'd have to agree.  A clean SSK can go for $150-200, so I think $250 for a bolt-modded SSK (especially if performed by fohat himself - he does good work) is fair.  Pricey and out of my range, but fair.

Note that I haven't kept up with prices the last couple months, so the market may have changed, though that's doubtful.  :P

This SSK: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=70655.0  has been for sale for a while and it's not selling for 215$ (not including shipping), so I guess one that  is bolt modded would go for a little more.

Sometimes older models have heavier plates, and the "classic" labels are generally desired over blue labels.

I did not realize that there was one languishing in Oz, I thought that folks down there whined about nothing being available.

invader I would caution against a 2:1 trade unless its a rare cap with known documented worth and trades(I guess a known going rate). I guess I could see 2:1 for a rare reaper or something. Ashen is a beautiful cap but there are quite a few of them out there. Maybe ask the person if there is a 1:1 cap they are looking for and maybe try to find that .... Just my opinion take it with a grain of salt
Looking for Black KMAC 2 or KMAC LE Preferably unbuilt kit but will consider an assembled board with clears Please PM me if you can help 8) Always on the lookout for KBK/KWK Bro Reapers,V2s and Clack factory skulls have lots of caps for trade

I can't comment on the price, but be aware that the keyboard switches are really ****ty.  I got my Vic-20 for free, and I doubt I would have paid more considering I didn't want anything besides the keyboard.

People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

You should probably just send those over here.. But realistically, I could see them selling for maybe $50 under the cheapest price? If buying second-hand voids the warranty and all.

I would trade Cosmos V2s and Ashen V2 1-for-1, but maybe that's just me.
I think I agree, andromeda skies seems rare and I don't wanna give up that and an interstellar for one :/ I just don't know when I am gonna get another opportunity for an ashen and I have hack'd coming in next week :/
invader I would caution against a 2:1 trade unless its a rare cap with known documented worth and trades(I guess a known going rate). I guess I could see 2:1 for a rare reaper or something. Ashen is a beautiful cap but there are quite a few of them out there. Maybe ask the person if there is a 1:1 cap they are looking for and maybe try to find that .... Just my opinion take it with a grain of salt

I figured as much and turned him down, still cannot find another Ashen though :/
Yeah I would say turn it down, always think if you think its worth it then it is, but I wouldn't go 2.1 unless its super rare Ashen will pop up eventually though hope mine makes it you you safely :p

What is this worth?
wow, cool to see someone else with one of those massive xerox boards. What switches are those?

I know their linear, and I think someone mentioned that they were hall effect once. I am selling this, thinking about 60$. That a good price?
The caps definitely look hall effect, the switches seem it as well with the square mount and forward angled stem. If it is in fact hall effect, $60 seems somewhat fair. The switches are obviously highly sought after but someone will have to go through the trouble to convert it.

Sorry for the late reply here. Those look like a variant of ITW/Cortron Magnetic Valve switches. Nice! Definitely not Micro Switch Hall Effect though.  Those never had exposed springs.

I didn't see any recent sales of these keycaps but my initial thought was about $80
