We achieved 195 votes on PMK. We ordered 207 Base Sets, 127 Novelties, and multiple kits that combined made PuLSE the most succesfull and affordable SA keyset ever made. Over 1800 goods were sold, thousands and thousands of keycaps. We did an incredible job since day one and I'm completely amazed by what we achieved. I'm very excited and looking forward to the pictures of you guys with our final product. I will keep you guys updated about our orders in this thread so stay tuned. Production, shipping, I'll keep asking Melissa and PMK for updates and will post'em here.

I might join this if it reached 50 sets.
It's best if you join as soon as you can, because it seems that a lot of people wait for others to buy first before buying in, which means the buy quantity stays low even if everybody will buy at 50 or more. If you join early, it helps the buyer count rise sooner, likely leading to more buys and lower prices for all.

For some. It just depends on the size of the modifiers - you'll need it if your keyboard doesn't have standard 1.25x mods and a 6.25 spacebar.

The most common 60% keyboard, Poker II, uses standard modifiers.
Tsangan kit is for any keyboard with 1.5u or 1u modifiers, [usually WKL - winkeyless layouts]

Yesterday when I went through their whole process of selecting and then paying within Paypal for that amount and was taken back to their website for confirmation I figured everything went to spec. Today still didn't get anything from them that they received my order hence my paypal account wasn't bothered by them.
So I decided to go through the whole process AGAIN and paying for everything yet again. This time I got the order number and confirmation from SP hence everything has gone through :thumb: .
Downside is that I got hit with a $691.56USD bill for this order which I am expecting, I only hope I don't get another bill doubling my payment from yesterday being added. As much as I love these key-sets I don't want to pay over $1300 for this Group Buy :-[ .

About Matt3o's Group Buys, I was merely curious. According to his posts in the SA Midnight Interest Check thread he is waiting for SP to make the molds before starting his GB. Not being rude - but I would have thought that since you're both running SA profile with full contour Group Buys that you would at least have contacted him about coordinating them so they don't overlap and leak orders away from each other. This is the kind of thing I was talking about in my comment in nubb's Royal Apollo thread.
Having participated in two of IvanIvanovich's successful GB's with MOQ of 250 or more, it's quite clear the new PMK GB method is not how GB's should be run. One way to help is for potential GB organisers to communicate and coordinate, or at least be aware of other similar GB's in the interest check or "starting soon" stage, so the timing can be optimised. Of course this won't stop people posting uncoordinated GB's (not much we can do about that except to try to persuade the organiser at IC time to do things properly), but it will help for the better organised ones. Just trying to help get things working properly and give some advice to help make this and your future GB's a success.

Thank you very much for the input, I appreciate your advice. As a matter of fact, I spoke with Matt3o - yes, but he didn't give me any info regarding his SA projects. He mentioned he was waiting for R4 Shift molds, and told me that "in a month" or something like that, he'd be ready to start. However, I directly spoke to Melissa and she said:
"We don't have any estimative of when the tooling for R4 Shift keys will be here."
And from what she wrote, I don't believe we are a "couple of months away from it", I sincerely believe that they will get this tooling on early 2015, probably.
I'm not sure.

We share opinions because I believe we are doing very good, as we are only 14 Base Set orders away from a 50 MOQ tipping point and that's amazing. Everybody is supporting Pulse so much, and I'm very glad because you guys can't imagine how incredible it's going to look IRL.

FYI, when you place your order, the transaction goes through PayPal, and you get a confirmation from PMK.
BUT...your bank account or credit card doesn't actually get charged until the day the group buy ends. So you can order anytime! The earlier, the better, in fact. Because that drives the price lower when we hit the order tiers.
You only need to be sure that you have the money in your PayPal funding source (credit card, bank account, PayPal balance) on the day that the GB ends.
If you use a credit or debit card as your payment option in PayPal it will put a temporary hold on the funds in the amount shown in your order for up to 72 hours.
Jd is right, but this is why I don't do it.
Everything through my Paypal is on my Debit card. I feel safer having the money they when I hit buy.

Nice observation oobly.
However, the ISO shift (1.25u) is indeed going to be Row 3 because we're going with the semi-matte top and sides finish. Row 3 is the only row available for 1.25u keys featuring semi-matte top and sides. Also, the Tsangan shift is 1.75u wide (the same width observed on the Caps Lock) and because of that, it will be Row 3.
That's not a big problem though, because we'll have a miniGB with Row 4 shift keys in the near future.
I'm very happy with Pulse as it is, we are very close to tipping in a little more than 72 hours. At this point I think it's safe to say it will succeed.
This is my first time ever "running" a group buy.

I'm not very sure if you can edit an order but you can always place a new order.
However, you don't have to worry about that unless you really need another Base Set. If you don't need it, save some money!

I just go my first SA set yesterday and installed it on my work keyboard. So far so good, but it does feel weird typing on such high keys after using DSA keycaps for the past year. Bottoming out becomes a bit more muted as well... or maybe it's just easier to not bottom out on SA caps.

Yep, you don't get charged until the GB closes and you will be charged the lowest price based on the total number of sets ordered, ie the lowest price tier that gets reached. However each optional kit has its own price tiers.

We always forget about the new ones joining in because they have never participated in a Geekhack Group Buy before. The current prices displayed for everyone to buy into won't be the final price you will pay in a months time when the Group Buy officially ends (reaches it's deadline).
At that time period if 100 people sign up to buy it, EVERYONE will pay that new lower price tag. Hence no one will miss out that's why you still have the newbs waiting till the last second to sign up for a Group Buy because they think that's the final price they will pay for it. It makes no difference whether you pay now or later on the final second (which you might miss when they shut the GB down).
Better to sign up now because you won't miss out on owning this sweet set. I missed out on a Group Buy earlier on when I thought like the rest here that waiting till the final second will get me a better price, but it didn't and I walked away a total fool and idiot for leaving it too late. I later found out that everyone who signed up in the beginning enjoyed the lower price tier and safely got there new key-sets about 4 weeks later.
Don't be like an older 'moronic' version of me, get smart and sign up straight away because PMK isn't taking your money out now but when the Group Buy finishes. Hence fill up that paypal account around that time period, to make sure you finally get these babies delivered to your front door.

Finally got around to placing my order, but I just realized that I forgot to purchase the 60% stripe :( Hopefully I'll be able to edit my order.

You can also make a separate order of just the stripe. I believe they combine the orders together at the end so shipping is only charged once. At least that's what Melissa says every time I ask about it.

Also pays off to have spare 6.25x spacebars if you plan to use the set a lot. It's the most used key, so when it gets shiny you can have a spare or two.

I think it depends on how you paid. If you pay with PayPal funds they sometimes hold the funds for up to 30 days. If you pay with CC or bank transfer your bank or card issuer will typically release the hold after 72 hours.

The pack is a delta between QWERTY and Colemak, so only keys that move row position or are physically different from their QWERTY counterpart are included. Since Colemak typically has a second backspace where Caps Lock is, that is included too.

I'm surprised that very few here thought of getting any extra Space-bars for future usage :o . You do know that the MOST widely used key on any keyboard is the Spacer Key. Both 6.25 and 7 are required for numerous setups involving any Cherry Keyboard(s).
You always make sure that you have extra space-bar keys because the one that comes standard with this kit will wear away and become so shiny you'll see your own reflection in it plus it will feel vastly different when touched by your own hands. I have never been in any Group Buy without FIRST buying extra Space bar keys, it's just insurance for the future after typing millions of words, sentences and paragraphs 8) .

Completely agree. I don't get why someone would buy a Tsangan kit and NOT get a 7x spacebar. As I said in my previous post: Spacebars are not included in the Tsangan kit. You need to buy them separately.
So come on, guys. Buy some spacebars. any set you plan to use for extended periods should have at least one spare spacebar. This set and GMK Dolch I have a few extras since I suspect these two will end permanently on a couple of my boards.

I don't know if there's demand to support the child deal.
Also, if people that already bought the Base Set don't evetntually return to PMK.com, they won't be aware that this mini pack is available.
This could cause issues in the future by people complaining that missed the mini pack and that it should've been offered together with the Base Set - even though deep dish keys were not even an option until yesterday (again, deep dish are not shown or declared anywhere).
However...
Since you are claimming that the lack of these extras is basically a deal breaker, I believe that the best thing to do right now is to add them as a child deal and then offer then again on the future mGB.
What do you guys think?

I wouldn't say that it's a deal breaker. The set looks great and I'm not looking to cancel my purchase. But it is pretty important to some of us and I'd hate to have a great keycap set sitting on my shelf for months until I could get a homing pack.
I like the idea of offering it twice.

Problem is that we had a freaking huge Interest Check right here but on Reddit, it's really hard to keep things going properly.
And that's why people keep asking for stuff and noobing (by not committing). Too many idiots downvoting my posts over there because they are "tired of seeing the word PuLSE". And when they do that, relevant information goes to the void. I don't really care anymore though, we already tipped and they will absolutely regret hating so much on the keyset after seeing the final product.
They prefer to see "Look at my Cooler Master Quick Fire / My First Mech / My Poker II with Clears from MassDrop" posts than original stuff and group buys being run by the community.

its a pastel kind of blue/cyan. Very retro looking
it worked well with miami because that was a retro set but here, NN and BBQ strange together when i put them together

It's tough when you don't have the actual colour samples in front of you which Melissa should supply before the final deadline looms.
Truthfully I can accept BBQ because it's going with a total Black colour and anything can go with that choice.

Honestly I don't know what the alternative is. SP doesn't offer any "shocking" blue choices. I'm sure that's why bbq was selected because it stands out.

Not to mention the colour combination is really fantastic. Truly suits the profile and will work on almost any case colour / LED backlight colour. Being thick and made from dark plastic they will give that beautiful background glow from behind the caps... drool.
These and GMK Dolch are going to have permanent homes on 2 of my keyboards.
Glad you like it, I believe we did an incredible choice with these tones. The colorscheme is indeed fantastic.

I don't think there's enough demand for this Facet.
I know it may kinda look ghetto, but maybe you could combine the original F-Row keycaps on the base set with the F-Row Stripe in order to cover all of the 24 F-Keys.

i would join this group buy but your using BBQ as your cyan/blue and this could possibly look less shocking because of that.
people who joined Miami know that BBQ isn't the color you are representing in your mock ups.
its a pastel kind of blue/cyan. Very retro looking
it worked well with miami because that was a retro set but here, NN and BBQ strange together when i put them together

First of all, thanks for the input you tried to give, as I understand the concern about how the color tones are going to look IRL.
But there's a major issue with it.
The first picture you provided (with Miami and NN keycaps) is an absolute crap. It's extremely desaturaded and was probably shot under very bad lightning conditions.
It doesn't represent the true colors featured on Miami and the NN tone, not even by far.
Let's see why:

- The picture you provided suggests that the pink tone is an RGBA c7b9c6ff - very faded and boring.
- The pink tone featured on the Miami Keyset is in fact the RGBA e388b4ff tone, very vivid and bright.
- The "black" tone on your picture is the RGBA 132229ff which is not even black - it's a green/gray tone.
- The NN black tone is equivalent to the Pantone Black C which is represent under the RGBA 000000f6 code.
- The cyan tone represented on your picture is much more faded than it is, in fact. Just look at the picture I provided above.
- I didn't use the crappy color sample SP provided on their website (the second picture you linked) on the mockups.
- Every single mockup of PuLSE features the RGBA: 46b6baff blue tone, which I picked from the better picture there is of the BBQ color chip.
- I didn't manipulate or corrected these colors in any sort of way. They truly represent how PuLSE is going to look in real life, under normal lightining conditions, with a precision of 95%, at least.

I'm still happy and not fussed with the colour chosen, as long as it isn't PINK. I know what this place can be like when colour perception becomes lost in translation but MiTo's choice is sound and will work out :thumb: .

Story time, not related to keyboards. You don't need to read this because it has nothing to do with this GB. Just wanted to share.
Everything happened so fast, just check how old I am here on GH, for example.
I didn't know how interesting a mechanical keyboard could be before July.
A friend of mine showed me his keyboard, he has a Filco with Round 1 keycaps.
The designs, the interest checks, the people I've been talking to... Everything seems to be working as therapy for me recently.
Some heavy stuff happened on my life late 2013 / early 2014 that absolutely destroyed me, and it's awesome to have something to occupy my mind with right now. I've got something to drop creativity in, and that's a QWERTY layout.
Soccer, college, friends, family, sure they help but I just wanted to thank you guys for being so receptive.

I've finally caught up on this thread today, and I wanted to say that that I'm really glad you opted to add both the homing pack and the colemak pack. :thumb: I just started learning colemak yesterday, so having a sculpted SA set that I can throw on another board to use is great news. :)

We discuss a lot on the backstages regarding ideas and designs and his DSA keyset (Lunar) is sitting at 230 votes on PMK right now and is going to lauch this week I believe.

The 60% stripe is Row 3 profile, it is a better fit with novelty key caps, like clacks or bro bots. The number row on the base set is Row 1 profile, it is quite steep and will not line up as flush with novelty key caps.

I love the scheme of this set as shown in the mockups, but I believe you are off about the tone of BBQ. If you convert the colours from your PHOTO of a BBQ sample you get (70, 182, 186) which is quite far from the photospectrometer sample of the actual plastic here: http://deskthority.net/wiki/Signature_Plastics_ABS_colours

It's too late to change the color with almost 100 orders placed. Further, MiTo used the exact RGB color swatch from that site you linked in his last mock-ups in the IC thread before this went live on PMK.

Pulse is a really sharp looking keyset and I'm on the fence about it. What would open my wallet is a row 3, 1.75 size key that is not the standard C[r]aps Lock key or the "I'M SHOUTING THROUGH THE MEGAPHONE IN CHAT CAPS LOCK" key -- I'm a UNIX neckbeard and I needs me a Ctrl key. A Row 3, 1.75 size Ctrl key and/or a Pulse icon key would be sweet here.
You probably missed the Interest Check, that I run for almost a month here and all of my ads on Reddit and DT.
I'm very sorry but at this point I can't add any specific keycaps to our group buy.
I sincerely hope that you make your mind and decide to join us, because I can't really see any kind of relation between Unix and a 1.75u R3 Control key.
Also, I wouldn't miss PuLSE because of a single detail like this since (again) - we're not going to have a Round 2 in any sort of way.

- PuLSE is the most succesful group buy ever run on PMK featuring a SA profile keyset and because of that we can't suddenly change specifications.
- I know what I'm doing.

Damn, when you see it side by side you can clearly see (even with old man eyes) that BBQ pops but BFN or BBJ shrinks into the background easily. Bloody hard to see anything if you're using the keyboard at night in front of your LCD monitor.
Sorry for fueling the fire here about changing the shade and tone of your original colour choice, my bad :( . Definitely stick with BBQ it's the way to go here, above all else I want to use my keyboards with this colour-way in minimal lighted conditions.

Yeah, the profile, and especially the fact that it's sculpted, have everything to do with why I bought into this GB, and the colors hardly at all. That's why I ordered DESPITE the fact that MiTo changed the color from BBJ to BBQ just five days before the GB went live, not BECAUSE of it. :)

PuLSE was always BBQ (and GEW but at the end of the IC I changed GEW to NN).

I see that you guys really like BBJ, but it's not a color for Pulse. It was never considered, I simply brought this discussion because the information about the exact color tone was wrong! At some point I mentioned BBJ, probably because I was messing up with some colors.
Anyway, I believe that BBQ is gonna make this Keyset a freakin beast, you'll see. It's so vibrant, and the contrast with black will be unique, very elegant.
I will try something with BBJ one day, maybe on another project I've got, Olimitto.
Actually, now I remember why I mentioned that Pulse was BBJ. BBJ is the blue tone featured on Olimitto, which was the base for the creation of Pulse!
We will not change anything on PuLSE.
The design always featured BBQ colors, since day one, and I provided mockups featuring other colors just for explanation purposes.

Personally, I'm a fan of BBJ over BBQ, but whatever. MiTo says it's too late to change, and it's his GB. I'm sure BBQ will look fine. I just thought from the beginning that this was an "electric" blue set, not a turquoise set, but the difference may only be in my own mind.
Sorry to keep talking about this, I know we're going with BBQ and have been for about a month now.
I originally thought BBJ would look better, because BBQ was too "teal" for me. In the end it doesn't matter.
I think this set will look great, and next to the black I think the color might feel more blue.

Every single PuLSE mockup I made is very accurate. They represent with a large amount of precision the TRUE CHIP COLOR and what'll have on your desk.
I'm not using this crappy "photospectrometer" colors thing (whatever it may be) to create mockups, because their colors are not correct.
If you look at this BFN chip IRL and compare to this photograph, there's at least a 99% tone correspondece. Korgenar took the most accurate sample pictures you can find on the internet and this picture is not corrected or manipulated in any sort of way. It was took under normal light conditions. Not the sunlight, not the void, not anything. Ambient light. A BFN keycap is as blue as this color chip is.

This is not a decent photo because the keyboard in under direct sunlight and that saturates a lot the picture. But yes, it gives an idea.

I just wished to point out that a photograph of a colour sample is not as accurate as a calibrated spot colour measurement taken with a spectrophotometer and converted to RGB values. The DT colours are the latter and therefore more accurate than any photo you happen to choose to base your colours on (since the colour you see from a photo is affected by the light source position, light source type, light source output spectrum, radiosity and colour of nearby objects, lens chromatic aberration and absorption, relative frequency sensitivity of the camera sensor, sensor type, image processor in the camera, white balance of the image adjusted by the processor based on the camera settings and overall image, etc...). The issue was first raised by people who have seen the Miami set and noticed a difference between it and the mockups.

Are you seriously telling me that Krogenar's flatbed scans (a device for scanning general documents) are more accurate than ijprest's photospectrometer (a device specifically designed to measure colour accurately made by a company that specialises in measuring colour accurately) samples? Seriously? Just saying it don't make it so. Especially when people who have had the actual plastic in hand tell you the colour in the mockup doesn't look right. Quoting from the IC thread:

The only thing i could want more form the keyset are some inteanational keys (Specificly Danish/nordic layout). I will get by with an english layout, and will probably be happy with it anyway, since i am going to be using my keyboard for coding, so it doesn't really matter. But it is just not the same as having the good ol' danish keycaps. An international user such as yourself must be able to relate to this situation.
So i was wondering wether or not it is possible that there could be added such a set to the GB?, or maybe an add-on pack later in the future?
Again LOVE the set, can't wait to see it IRL!

I believe the key was that MiTo carefully planned the kits and MOQ's for them according to his research into previous GBs. Proof that he did it right is what you see here. All kits tipping :)
Everything is getting nice and cheap now as kits hit higher counts. Considering adding an ISO pack.... I wish there were a nice way to see which kits of a GB you've ordered without having to keep track yourself. Perhaps a site improvement suggestion for PMK?
Perhaps you should add something about the low prices reached in the thread title? We may get enough extra orders then to drop them even more :D

Unless you really like that shiny spot you get on ABS spacebars where your thumb rests after a lot of use. I'm actually on the fence about it, since I like the look of a well used board. Makes me feel like I've actually done something with it. I ordered extras of all the spacebars anyway to cover my bases.

Good one, nothing wrong with preparing your setup now :thumb: . I know you won't be the only 60% fanatic here on Geekhack, there are lots of current keyboards that can be built from scratch or bought from others here.
The trick is choosing the right Cherry MX switch for everyday usage, but you also have SPRiT who provides endless amounts of springs - customized to nearly every type of spring weight that can be made.
This place will dump you into the deep end when it comes to building and/or selecting your keyboard indulgence 8) .

60% stripe is row 3 profile to better match artisan caps, while the standard kit has row 1 for that row (much more sculpted profile)

I am so very tempted to buy into this! I do love the SA profile very much, however the only thing that might be holding me back is that the colour scheme looks very dark overall. Is the blue a very vibrant one? Does it contrast well with the chosen black colour? I do have a black body keyboard that I'd put this one which I assume would go well with this colour scheme.

If you miss PuLSE you'll most likely regret it because it looks like exactly what you want by reading your description. BBQ is bright and has excelent contrast with black. This is the cheapest SA keyset ever done.

If PMK had a feature like Mass Drop to pick which price point you'd buy in at, they could sell a few more sets earlier on, and that would help. I'm not sure how difficult that would be to add, but I'd love to see such a feature.

From an email from Bob at SP 2 days ago: "We are tooling up the 1.25, 2.25 and 2.75 in SA Row 4. However tooling

I'm sorry for not taking a look at this thread sooner, I thought the thread was dead but instead (and I don't know why) my notifications weren't enable for this thread specifically so I apologize for that.
I've got good news and bad news about PuLSE.
Bad news first, PuLSE is delayed.
A couple of days ago I e-mailed Signature Plastics and they managed to answer it today with updates and Bob (Melissa is off due to maternity and Bob is in charge for now) told me that due to massive "production requirements" and orders, their entire production line is delayed. I don't know if it is something related to Granite/Infinity orders that were placed recently or if it was something related to non-GB orders. The thing is that he said that realistically, production should conclude in the period of 3-4 weeks.
What can I say about that, I'm very frustrated because Melissa confirmed that shipping would conclude this week a couple of weeks ago and even though delays were in sight, another month is a lot. That's bummer, but let's be hopeful and patient. Realistically, I can see PuLSE on your desks by the first/second week of January.
This is the worst case scenario but that's what I'm expecting at this point.
Sencondly, regarding the R4 Shift keys, as Oobly mentioned, Signature Plastics doesn't have a trutworthy ETA for it. They "kinda" have the tooling but they mentioned that they are months away from being able to provide it so again, realistically, I believe we should expect a GB to be properly run by March or something like that. They having the tooling is one thing. They being able to take our orders is a completely different subject.
Again, I'm sorry guys, I'm frustrated and disapointed.
Signature Plastics keep receiving orders even though stuff is delayed. I don't understand why they are doing this, it's looking like a greedy approach towards our projects. We've got Fried, EVE, Deep Space going on right now, Cospar (launching soon) and we're yet to see Granite, Infinity and PuLSE deploying - which are projects that ran several months ago. Let's be patient and hopeful.
Now the good news.
I've got a color ring on my very hands and I'm extremely happy we didn't go with BBJ or any other blue/gray tone for PuLSE. The combination between BBQ and NN is simply perfect, it's exactly what I had in mind when designing the keyset. I know it's gonna take some time, but you are going to be mesmerized by PuLSE, I can guaranteee you that it's going to be sharp, guys. The contrast, the profile, it's beautiful, very very beautiful.

Happily, I now have PuLSE installed on my Poker. Bit bummed about the backspace confusion on the Colepak, but I'll live with it. I've got a spare 2u row 3 backspace now, surely I can find some use for it.
The keytops are slick. As in very little texture. I kinda like it, it's much different from the DSA caps I have too many of now.

Not trollin, I'm genuinely curious.I wanted the more blue color that was originally proposed but am just fine with the BBQ since most of my stuff was made to match Miami. It has enough contrast with the black. Still not a fan of the full symmetric look and all one color F-row though, just too much teal.

I think it looks good, but the original mockups on PMP are definitely inaccurate. Pretty much exactly what I expected. The contrast is great in low light and you still get a slap of blue to the face every time you look at it. My only complaint is that SP's legends are so inconsistent in the SA profile. It's most noticeable on the modifier keys. I haven't been able to unsee it since 7bit pointed it out on his Round 5 group buy.
Legends on the number row, F row, and alphas are just about perfect though.

I will get some better pics once I have better light. So far I am actually liking the feel of the SA profile and am very glad that the full contour was chosen. I am not a fan of the flat profile in DSA, so this feels more natural to me.

I will get some better pics once I have better light. So far I am actually liking the feel of the SA profile and am very glad that the full contour was chosen. I am not a fan of the flat profile in DSA, so this feels more natural to me.

As all good fanatics of the SA profile soon find out, nothing is done better out of SP's factory than this profile.
I got a big box delivered just now and it has that Blue and Black combo inside, I just realized how stupid I was for buying well over 16 space-bars, yet again ::) . THis keyset looks great in a standard Black keyboard hence it can fill out the majority of them anywhere.
I know MiTo designed this and a lot of you hate his guts here on Geekhack now, but I'm not going to rake over his dead body to entertain anyone here, because he delivered what he promised and the colour-way is nice. Thanks for doing it anyway MiTo, good luck on your new ventures elsewhere :thumb: .

I think it looks good, but the original mockups on PMP are definitely inaccurate. This post is probably the most accurate in terms of color: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=62554.msg1479705#msg1479705, I also was hoping for a more blue color as per the original mockups. But again, still looks nice, and I'm digging the SA profile on my dox.
And Oobly got all kinds of **** from MiTo for that too.
It's hard to live with my own perfectionism sometimes, it just grates on me when I notice an issue that could have an impact and it doesn't get fixed. Anyway, I dealt with it by posting my own version of the mockup and voicing my concerns in the thread, so I'm okay with the result. Mine haven't arrived yet, but I'm fairly sure I won't be surprised by how they look and it's definitely a nice colour combination even though I'd prefer it to be a bit less green. And it's FULL CONTOUR SA PROFILE! :D (except for the shift keys)
I think it's a little more teal then I'd like. It still looks pretty damn good though. Only problem I have now is that orings do not work on these. Anyone have suggestions for dampeners?
SA profile caps don't have the crossbars and have differing depths, so you have to mix and match double or triple orings with different thicknesses to get them to have the same feeling between the rows. If you are able to open your switches you could do the trampoline mod with these little balls from IMSTO: http://imsto.cn/index.php?route=product/product&path=61&product_id=88
Consistent feeling no matter which keycaps you use, but it's a lot of work if you have to desolder the switches.

I returned home from holiday last night to find PuLSE waiting for me. I eagerly mounted the caps on the nearest board... only to find that the Colepack backspace was the wrong size. Much sad, very disappoint :(

I agree. The only reason I kept my order after the self implosion by Mito was the sheer amount of work done by you JD on this set. I am really enjoying the full contour and even the shift keys being R3 don't actually really bother me that much.

The current shade of blue is ideal for late night typing with no light, except from a distant monitor, still can clearly see the keys which is what I want. If the shade of blue went darker then it'll be harder to see what keys you're pressing (yes, I'm a max two key typist).
So many colour-ways now want to be so dark and even the text/numbers disappear in a darkened room. Don't ask why I enjoy typing at night.......... 8)

Yeah, it seems like cameras just can't capture the actual neon blue color. All the photos I've seen look slightly softer and pastel-y than it appears to the eye.

Penumbra is well worth owning. ;) They have been my mainstay set on my work board (most of the alpha keys are shiny from use), I keep going back to them. I love typing on them and the colourway is fantastic.

I'm not sure if this was answered already in this thread but I thought that these were supposed to have a semi-matte finish on the tops and sides of the keycaps? In between the ordering and shipping dates, I got a new job, moved cross-country, updated my address with Signature Plastics, and forwarded my mail with the USPS. SP shipped to the old address, USPS didn't catch it before delivery, the tracking number says it was delivered to my old apartment. My old apartment complex says, "Gosh, we never saw a package for you and there's nothing there now!" (Noone else had moved in yet.)
