Personally, I'm going to try buffing a set to a glossy shine. The set I have now has some very glossy keys in it, and it's surprisingly enjoyable.

Got mine. They were in decent shape for scavenged caps. Shine wasn't too bad. Numpad is noticeably shinier then the rest.

The missing caps are being cleaned.

Grimy, but nothing a few denture tabs and some hot water can'f fix.

If you're on the fence about these, get them. My set has no shine and cleaned up nicely. Really happy with my caps

Definitely surprised about how little shine is one these. I guess POS boards don't get a ton of use on the alphas

Did they ship it to you in a padded envelope? Those tend to not cost very much even shipped international. Since these sets are pretty large, he has to ship them in a small priority box, which can be upwards of $20 depending where you are.

So, for those of us who want to use these... what's the best bet on filling out that bottom row?I have some dyesub sets that I can mix and match with, but I think my fingers would revolt mixing PBT and ABS.

Get a hold of a GMK spacebars from the previous buy. If you can, get some of the CMYK or Purple mods too. If not, go to EK and buy some of their modifiers there. You might have to double up on CTRL or ALT though because there's no windows caps at all.

There was a group buy for modifiers etc but I don't think it went anywhere.

You could also try cutting the stems off of the misaligned caps and gluing them back in the correct location. If you can't use the caps for anything anyway, then there's nothing to loose.

No. The bottom row has off centered stems on the modifiers. Everything should fit fine though.
