I FINALLY managed to make one of these for myself without ruining the cable. Turns out the key is to find a way to do it without cutting and resoldering the cable. Or being better with a soldering iron than me. I have five more cables in the mail, gonna make me some more. Always need more usb cables.

I am not taking custom orders anymore. The problem is that I end up having to order small quanities of materials and it takes a considerable amount of time. It has come to the point where I have only been able to make a couple every weekend. I hope you can all understand, at some point over the summer I will make some DIY videos for the community

Glissant, I'm jealous of that microUSB one you have. I only have 2 whiskerBox cables.

whiskerBox, I know you're not doing custom cables anymore, but do you plan to stock some microUSB ones? I need one for my wife's cell phone.

I made sure to ask Whiskers about a microusb cable when I first ordered. I actually had no use for the miniusb cables until after I had ordered the cables from whiskers. Now my Poker has a vibrant cotton candy cable.

I wonder how hard it was to thread the cables through the paracord.

through 550 paracord, hard. There is no way to do it without cutting, and reconnecting the usb. The closest I got to getting one to work was when i didn't even solder the wires, but just twisted them and taped them. It worked up until i had to do a little fidgeting to get the paracord over the joined part, at which point I guess I broke one of the connections. I've ruined like three usb cables trying to get 550 paracord over them. I've made two wrapped in techflex (one double wrapped) with no issue. you just have to shave the plastic off the mini end for it to fit over without cutting the cable.

YMMV though.

Not all paracord is created equal. I have found that for different company's 550 means something completely different.

If people want micros I can make those too

Also the new cables will look a little better as I have been practicing

but I haven't had much time lately make them so hopefully in a few weeks I will have some more available.

Too much trouble TBH. Its hard to get things in small quantities. Also it is very time consuming around an hour per cable, so after supplies and shipping its about minimum wage lol. I am working through the supplies that I have left and after that I am not sure what my plan is
